I think I would prefer a DWG export over PDF, as the DWG preserves layer information, where when I just tested the PDF export, it did not. The DWG option has all the opportunities you listed above.

This is correct, for this instance I am using raster images from the background, then exporting as PNG with transparent background. I could export DWG from my program (Revit) and import to Designer, however the dwg import puts each line as an individual object, which is not complexity I need for this use case since I don’t want to modify stroke weight or color. That said, always looking for better ways to improve my workflows and if I end up needing to change the strokes, using Designer seems to be the way to go. Especially since I’m V2 you can sort by later which makes dealing with individual objects less cumbersome.

Thanks Walt! I may go the asset route, since I think I may be able to automate this. When needing to do this I typically have 5 or more files I need to batch convert, so this seems like a promising route!

Is there a way to have a preset for a layer blend option curve? I have greyscale image plans exported from a drafting program, and would like to bulk edit files to make the white in the drawing transparent for placing in presentations. I found a way to do this here: Affinity Forum: Make white transparent, and it seems to work in my drawing. Attaching drawing, pre and post edit, and a snip of the layer blend curve I am trying to set.

Walt, I apologize. I am using the MSIX version, and the button does indeed say install. The bar above says downloading, and it shows for about a second, then the whole box goes away. I also tried doing what Mike suggested, and tried to download and install the MSIX from the store, but when I try to run it, it says that sideloading is not permitted, even after allowing apps from anywhere in my settings.

For Photo, Designer, & Publisher I am getting an update available alert, but when I click download, it runs a quick progress bar and disappears. After awhile I restart the program but it still says I am on version 2.0.0. I have tried doing this and also restarting, I'm not sure what I actually need to do to get these windows versions to update.

Is there a way to transfer master pages between documents? On either the Windows or Mac version?

They have been installed for awhile, it's not a fresh install. I may try uninstalling, restarting, reinstalling then trying to open the Affinity apps.

I'm trying to use Technic, a ttf font in Affinity Publisher. However when I type anything using the text tool, an exclamation point appears next to the font name, and the font is not displayed correctly. I tried opening word, and the font works there, I tried in Affinity Designer, and the font does not work there. I'm using affinity apps on an intel Mac. Do I need to reinstall the font?

Designer crashes when expanding more than one object that has had multiple strokes applied to it through the appearance tab. I had an object that had been pulled on to the canvas from the assets tab. I pulled three of the same shape, and then selected all, and went to the menu bar Layer > Expand Stroke. Designer promptly crashed. On reopening Designer, it brought me to right before the objects had been pulled form the assets tab. Repeated this a couple of times, and the same result. Is it possible to use the desktop .afpalatte files to build a swatch palatte, or is the only method sampling colors? There is a great copic color palatte that I would like to use on mobile, but I cannot find a way to open/import it. This palatte already has color name and numbers set up.
