Thank you "G", I did read all that in the help pages. Maybe I'm just using them wrong. I use the perimeter of my 'canvas' (non-white part)all the time for inspirational ideas, objects I've designed and want to keep around for other uses, text I like and don't want to forget or have to look for again, etc.. while I am working on an idea, concept or page layout. I thought the artboards would be a great way to group these and refer to them as needed. Sort of removing the clutter from around the 'canvas', hence the 'discrete' part of the artboards. BUT when I create an artboard my 'canvas' disappears? changing to the 'background color' & when I delete the artboard, it's size then becomes the size of my 'canvas' or document. Just trying to figure this out. Is this a bug? why does the 'canvas' or original new document change size? Are the artboards meant to be used with the original 'canvas' or document? Can they be used along side each other?
thanks so much for your quick response.
