  1. Having had considerable difficulty installing Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo versions 1.9.1 and 1.9.2, I finally found an answer in the FAQs. Downloading the update files to my own laptop produced error messages reporting that the software signature could not be verified. The solution proved to be to download the files on another machine and copy them over. In my case I borrowed my partners laptop which is a Chromebook. This caused its own complications in that I am not overly familiar with it and that it seemed to have some objections to downloading Windows software. Nevertheless I managed to locate the download folder and copy the files to an SD card which I normally us as a back-up for my documents. On transferring this back to my own laptop I was able to install the updates without further difficulty. I cannot help but wonder why it should be necessary to go to such lengths to install Windows software onto a Windows computer. Screenshots of the error messages when trying to download and install on my own computer are attached. Screenshots.afpub
  2. I am unable to update any of the affinity apps. I receive the message shown in the attached screenshot when I try.
  3. I am trying to print a document which has previously printed successfully. While text prints successfully, images appear as blocks or line of black or grey. A warning message has appeared saying that resources have been changed outside the application, but fixing this in resource manager makes no difference, nor does updating affinity photo which supplied the images. Print previews appear as expected, but when sent to the printer or exported as pdf the problem becomes apparent. I have attached the publisher file, the result of exporting to pdf and two of the images which seem to have a problem. 4. I agree with PatrickOfLondon on one point; it would be useful to flag up when you are attempting to change something which is over-ridden in another setting. Whether this should be by means of a pop-up message or, maybe, a tool tip, I am not sure. Certainly, some indication would help novices who are using a trail and error approach to achieving some effect to avoid a long hunt for a solution.
  5. I have been playing around further with this problem and it seems that paragraph leading works with existing paragraph styles, but doesn't work if the style has already been modified. e.g. body+ which has some characters in bold fails to change, while body will accept new leading, if the paragraph style is reset to the original.
  6. Yes, either one or many paragraphs or part of a paragraph. It makes no difference.
  7. I have a problem with line spacing. I can adjust the spacing between paragraphs, but there does not seem to be any way of adjusting the spacing within paragraphs. According to the help files, paragraph leading should do the job, but no amount of adjustment seems to have any effect.
