Like you I decided to keep my perpetual R21. I had Prime since version 9 and upgraded every time, but now I couldn't justify the price step from Prime to the whole package since I don't have use for mograph and those. I have been following that thread as I think any other C4D that jumped the ship since the subscription model was announced. I think Serif team is aware of that since they have even a video on youtube about selecting objects with the cryptomatte pass, but it relies on the magic wand and not a true cryptomatte support.

Yeah, after they decided to go to subscription I said that I will not support that kind of business model. And honestly so many architectural plugins are now abandonware, so I didn't have any reason for continuing with it. Although I know about Cycles4D, didn't know that it supports cryptomatte.

+1. Even more now that I have migrated from C4D to Blender completely.

Hi all, I don't want to open a new topic for this. I just noticed that a new Photo Beta for Windows was released and in the changelog it says that the brush parameter change is Ctrl+Alt and in the mouse we need to keep pressed left and right button... you are using 40% of your fingers just to change interactively the brush size and hardness, not good at all. I'm so sorry but this is far for comfortable and ergonomic, specially for people that suffers of the carpal tunnel were you keep pressure not in one but in two fingers. I hope this wouldn't be hardcoded and let the users customize the key binding as pleased. I hope the developers read this and re-think about this decision. I would love to remap it to Ctrl+RMB for example. My two cents. Juan

Thank you, I fixed following your advice. The only different thing is I made a "safe" copy of the text and rasterize it without Preserving layer FX So yeah, is not a clean solution (hope for it) but it worked.

I chose to rasterize only Unsupported features over the export dialog. It is a combination of text and objects, where the text has 29% transparency and Colour Overlay on the Layer Effects. The object has nothing special, just a gray plain color but when it overlaps with the text, it creates that "darkenish" tone.

Hi all, When I export my file as PDF some of the elements become barely visible. I tried many export combinations without avail. The text has a Color Overlay, not sure if this is the culprit. This is how it looks in Designer: And this is how it looks in Acrobat: Cheers, Juan

Hi all, I have noticed that when using the arrow keys to navigate throughout the blending modes, the list does not scroll with it, so there is a point where I have no idea what blending mode I'm using. As you can see in this gif, I started using the arrow keys to navigate but after the Vivid Light I can't see what blending mode is highlighted anymore. I really hope to see it implemented, the lack of color match features in AP (Color match adjustment layer, and set black, white and black point in curves adjustment layer) is a big drawback for composition job. Cheers, Juan

Hi all, I have installed my own AP in the work computer, and now I need to completely uninstall (serial, preferences, etc) it from it and preventing that when another co-worker install AP doesn't use my license. I'm on Win10 How this can be done? Cheers, Juan

The object that you want to use as "smart object" save it as a PDF and then drag it on your open working file.

In my case I get architectural drawings in PDF to put some colors, people, etc (to make it nice). Let's take a window for example, when I open the PDF, each line that makes the window is a curve layer in Affinity, now imagine if I have on one window 13 curve layers and multiply that by 10 or 15 windows, plus doors, plus walls, etc. Here is a little screenshot of how a raw PDF looks when I open it of couple of windows, one door and a fence: Now, when dealing with four or more facades of one building, navigating throughout the document, adding layers, zooming in and out it is almost impossible unless I merge all the curves. Additionally, having the curves allows me to change line width and/or color and still be able to scale the document without loosing the resolution since is a vector layer. Cheers, Juan

There is a way to have some kind of smart objects in ap. When you drag and drop a pdf into your canvas, the layer will read (embedded document) or something like that. If you double click that layer a new document will open where you can paint over it and when you go back to your working file you will notice that the layer is updated. Cheers, Juan
