  1. When exporting an EPS from Designer... are the fonts preserved? For example, if someone opened a Designer EPS export in AI, would the text be editable?
  2. For now, I build PDFs in Publisher and then make them accessible with Acrobat DC Pro. Not ideal to say the least, but there's no way I'll go back to Indesign and Illustrator, so it is what it is. I'll just have to eat the monthly acrobact costs.
  3. Agreed. Client wanted to add a chart so I wanted to let them know how much text we need to cut to make it happen. I copy text, paste into a free online word counter... really? Seems trivial, but it's really inefficient.
  4. We need a word count feature! Please! Seems basic, but I guess it's really hard to add. 😴
  5. I understand that there are a lot of ways to create the result of using the shape builder tool, but I think the point people are trying to make is that the tool is used during the creative phase. To be able to manipulate curves efficiently while designing and experimenting is critical in logo design for example. Not having it makes the process clunky. Just my two cents.
  6. Not sure if this has been solved yet, but I managed to export a PDF from AD with all layer sets preserved. Don't use an art board (copy your layer groups into a new document without the art board) and export using the PDF x/4 preset. Works for me. My apologies if this is old news.
  7. This is happening to me too with the latest Publisher Beta (as of today's date). Didn't notice this on the previous beta version... but perhaps it was there and I didn't see it.
  8. I found a reoccurring bug. When I copy a grouped set of graphic element from a Publisher document (svg icons, text) and paste it into a different publisher document, I'm not able to save the updated document. I get this error when I attempt to save or save as. I blurred the file name. It appears the action turns the destination document into a read-only file. It does create a new file, but the size is 0 kb. Thanks.
