The first issue happens to me too. And I think this is quite new because I use AD now for a couple of years and never experienced it.

The thing I noticed is, that it doesn't happen only when clicking the thumbnail. It also happens when clicking above/below the label.

So when I want to change the name of the label and I'm not 100% exactly above the text, the action will trigger a zoom to the component.

This annoys so much! Please put it back to thumbnail only. 🙏

It doesn't matter if this is one text frame or two. The behavior is the same (see attachment).

And adding guides and fix manually is just a workaround. I can handle that, no problem, but I'd still be interested in a solution or an explanation.

The font is Arial and the application is Affinity Designer.

I think, if it can work with Art Text, it should work with Frame Text, too.

Otherwise Frame Text is pretty useless if you can't align it correctly.

Please see attached screenshot.

I try to remove the whitespace before the "D" of "DESIGN".

When I have multiple framed text boxes with different sizes, they don't align correctly. The "PRETTY THINGS" box has the same x position as the "DESIGN" box, but slides optically more to the left, because of this space at the beginning.

Where does this space come from and how can I avoid it?

Nope, artistic text is not an option, even though the spacing in the begging does not appear there.

I have an EPS (the skull) and I want to substract a shape (the M) from it. But whenever I try that, I wreck the EPS.

How can I do that?
