  1. While you are writing code for new retail versions, please consider: 1. Make the help topic pages sizable to offer screen wide views. (As it stands now, you can resize only vertically; it should resize vertically and horizontally. 2. Make each panel within the topic page sizable relative to the whole page (As it stands now, when you zoom in on a help topic page, the sidebar zooms wider at the expense of the topic text panel; it should at least work the other way around where the text panel zooms at the expense of the sidebar panel. 3. (Each panel within the page should be able to be sized independently of the whole page.) 4. or, Make the entire page zoomable just like the canvas in the drawing persona. I will assume that the development teams for all applications are collaborating to make all Affinity applications behave the same so I will not repost this under the other application forums unless you advise otherwise. 2. Thank you PaulEC for your comment and participation in this discussion; I hope the "powers that be" read these comments and consider putting out an electronic version. I, for one, have grown into using electronic manuals vs. hard copy manuals a long time ago; if an electronic version is set up correctly with hyperlinks; it is a lot easier to navigate an electronic manual than a hard copy book.
  3. You have a good point; you could prevent the new user of the hard copy from accessing the electronic copy by requiring the matching of the workbook serial number and the original buyer's computer serial numbers, but I don't know how you would prevent the original buyer of the hard copy from continuing to access the electronic copy; selling the hard copy and the electronic copy as a package deal may prevent some of this pirating though.
  4. Revised title for this topic: "Make the electronic version of workbooks available to workbook holders of record"
  5. I understand that you don't want to publish an electronic workbook for fear that it will be pirated. I recommend that you make the workbooks available to workbook holders of record which can be tracked by matching the workbook serial number with the workbook holder's serial numbers of their computers; then, write code so that the electronic workbook issued to the workbook holder of record will only be available on computer serial numbers held by the licensee. You would just need to assign a barcode or the serial number of the hard copy workbook, the electronic workbook and the computers belonging to the licensee. You would just have to ask for the licensee's computer serial numbers so the licensee's copy of the workbook can only be transferred between his/her/their computers of record. Another way, which would be simpler, would be to make the purchase available online only and restrict the use of the electronic workbook to the account holders of record who have purchased the Affinity workbook hard copy. In either case, you would make purchasing the hard copy workbook a prerequisite to being eligible to purchase the electronic version.
  6. I am fretfully trying to find my license number for my Affinity Photo installation bought through the App Store. I don't want to have to buy another license unnecessarily but I am having trouble finding my product key/license number. I need to know the exact time and date (U.S. CST) that the Black Friday price reverts back to the regular price; if I haven't been able to locate my license/key by then, I will have to buy another license. If anyone out there knows how to retrieve your license number from the App store purchase, please let me know.
  7. Thank you, oh so much!! Mithferion for this exhaustive treatise of free fonts; this is a treasure-trove!
  8. Hi Tony! Is Serif working on a spreadsheet app or a presentation app? I am in a quandary about which Affinity license to buy to have access to all of Affinity's features; do I need to buy both Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo? Is there a way to buy both at the same time at a reduced cost? Thanks in advance for your timely response.
  9. I am in a quandary about which Affinity software to buy; are all features of Affinity Photo available within Affinity Designer, or do I need to buy both to have access to all of Affinity's features? Is there a discount if you buy both Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo at the same time? Is there a way to buy the whole Affinity bundle in 1 license at a reduced cost? Affinity Designer/Affinity Photo/Affinity Publisher? Does Serif make a spreadsheet app? Does Serif make a presentation app?
  10. Once I buy a license to use an Affinity app, how many computers is the license valid for?
  11. How many devices can you load Affinity to once you buy a license?
