  1. Hi there, I have Photo on Mac and iPad. I’m looking into options like Astropad and duet pro to allow me to make edits on my iPad while editing a photo on my Mac (I.e. Apple Pencil precision). Are there plans to build this into Photo, rather than having to run through (and pay for) another app? Cheers!
  2. Hi all, I am relatively new to photography, and have been using Affinity Photo casually for a couple of months. I feel pretty confident in my ability to use the program's basics (curves, adjustment layers, dodge/burn, inpaint, etc.). My reason for posting was to see if anyone has tips around deciding what edits to apply to a photo. There are so many different functions in a program such as Affinity, and I'd hate to develop a pattern where I am applying similar edits to all my photos when I am forgetting about/missing out on some of the many other options Affinity provides. For example, going through the same curve adjustment process and ignoring an edit such as a ND filter simply because I didn't think of it in the first place! Has anyone made this thought process a part of their workflow? Is it simply a matter of editing more and more to the point where it becomes pretty natural? Anything else? Would love some thoughts. Thanks!
  3. Hey Stokerg, Thanks for the reply! Your advice was really helpful. What about if I want to use the dodge or sponge tools? They did not have any effect on the image when I tried to use them on the gray fill layer. Also, when I go to the develop persona to make global changes, these are only applied to the main pixel layer, again showing a shadow of what I removed using the inpainting tool. Is there a workaround for this? Cheers, Sean.
  4. Hi there, I used the inpainting tool to remove an unwanted object in a photo. As per affinity tutorial advice, I did this on a new layer so the edit was non destructive. However, since then im trying to make adjustments with burn and related tools. When I do this, the burn only applies to the main photo, leaving a shadow of the object I removed. Is there a way to fix this without using the inpainting tool on the original photo layer? Ive attached photos with the object included, and then removed with the shadow issue. thanks!
