Thanks a lot for your reply and help! This is already a good start.
Hopefully some people in (fashion)design will see this question also and can help me with the specifics :-)

Hello everyone,
My name is Jan, I am new to this forum, basically on behalf of my wife. My wife worked for years in fashion (design, production, etc.) and now after a break she wants to start again with a freelance career. She originally learned to draw, and make the technical flats (sorry, i am no expert in all the terminology)etc. by hand, but these days all is digital. It seems that Adobe Illustrator is the most common used tool for this by people working in fashion. By browsing the internet I discovered that many people now see Affinity Designer as an equal alternative to AI.
1. Are there people here who work in fashion and actually work with Affinity Designer, instead of Adobe Illustrator? Could you share your experiences?
2. Are there courses available specifically aimed for the fashion world to learn Affinity Designer?
3. is there a preference to work on an Ipad Pro (with pencil) or a laptop? What are the pro's and con's? (still undecided what the buy)
Apologies for all the questions, but hopefully someone can help us and point us in the right direction and make the right decisions :-). Thanks!
