Easiest way could be to draw a shape between the guides to their width and note where its center point is.

On the desktop, I can select each layer and Command-J to duplicate all 4 in their respective place in the hierarchy. Can't speak to the iPad.

You could just style the Text Frame instead of adding an extra box, but that depends on what you're going for.
What happens if you group the text and the box together and then float that group?

In my work, I generally don't avail myself of Artboards in Designer. The only practical advantage I see in them is multiple "pages" with different sizes, but I can do that in Publisher anyway. That said, I think your first example would have be the way to go rather than the second option.

Several people already recommended DefaultFolderX as a solution to this problem (on macOS only). Let me add my vote for this excellent utility. You have NO IDEA how useful it is (not only for Affinity apps) until you really give it a try. It has saved me a lot of time when dealing with the Open/Save/Export dialog windows.

Well, I assume we'd keep the ability to expand and collapse by Global Layer, so I'd say the preview/thumbnail would have to stay, at least in the collapsed state.

and bonus +1 for @.: NICKY G. :.'s idea for multiple divisions. Have always been frustrated when needing to divide a segment into thirds.

I always enjoy the "self-masking" technique for logos that are a solid color.
• "Rasterize to Mask" the original logo art
• Mask it to a white pixel layer
• Levels adjustment set to Alpha to get a true white (or transparency if that's what you need)
• extra color background just helps show the result

So, if I want to open an image, which is made of pixels and doesn't have an inherent other dimension, and have it convert to a different unit, wouldn't I also need to tell it the DPI/PPI I wanted it to use as well?

@flyleaf If you haven't found the silly workaround yet, group your picture frame by itself (group of one). You can then scale from any corner.

Another solution: type the text above the rectangle, group the two and set the text blend to "Erase".

IMHO, this is the kind of logo that's begging to be vectorized. All simple shapes involved would be easy to redraw. It would make alterations easier and open up to broader usage case option with scalability.

Watched the videos and reread the whole thread. Seems like @walt.farrell's suggestion of using PDFs would be a reasonable solution.
You would then have all pages "converted" to artboards. That works fine for the first document and creating the "export template". For the second document, export it as PDF, open it separately in Designer, copy all the art boards and paste them into the original "template" over the top of the original artboards. All new art, but same slices are ready for export.
