prophet got a reaction from mikeill in Remove Section from Vector Shape
You don't say what OS you use, but in MacOS, you can hold down Control and click a segment to delete it. The shape would then become "open" so you would then Join those open nodes.

A clever workflow that also deletes the curves. Happy to help.

prophet got a reaction from Old Bruce in Affinity Photo - Simultaneous Selections from Curves Q
True, but I guess that would depend on the layer structure being such that they could be grouped.

How about duplicating all the curve layers and then Geometry > Add or Geometry > Merge Curves. Then you can use that combo curve to Select > Selection From Layer. You could even Select > Selection From Layer and Delete if you didn't want to keep it.

@prophet - thanks, I'll give this a try (this is the 3rd time I've tried to post a reply - not sure why they aren't showing up) .

Been messing about a bit and find that if I group the curves I can select the Group and use that to get a selection from Select > Selection from Layer.

On Mac I use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + 0 (zero) to zoom in to the selected objects. Pretty sure this is a built in default.

prophet got a reaction from v_kyr in Importing PDF to Affinity Designer - Why are the paths and nodes a different colour?
This happened to me just this morning. The place to look is the Layer Properties. Right click on the Layer, choose Properties at the bottom. You will then see the Layer Color option.

prophet got a reaction from Old Bruce in centering between two guidelines or margins
Easiest way could be to draw a shape between the guides to their width and note where its center point is.
