Technically, yes, but if you've ever printed on non-white paper, you can clearly see the interaction. Most inks have a translucence that makes the colors appear different depending on the color of the paper they are printed on. It can be subtle at times, but for descerning designers (like the OP who has obviously used the setting in InDesign) it's something to be aware of.

Now that I think about it, I had this exact situation just last week. The cover page of a program I was printing had been designed with a light purple gradient over a b&w image. The choices of paper were between a cream colored parchment and a grey marbled affair. The "warm" cream color made a very unpleasant brown tone, whereas the "cool" grey let the purple "pop" a bit more and resulted in a much more pleasing print.

You can drag from the "Sample from Location" icon in the Info Panel onto the canvas to place the pointer where you want.

Can confirm the same on MacOS 13.6.3 with Designer 2.3.1

If your "points" are all actual Shape objects, you could use "Select > Select Object > Shapes". Otherwise, you could tag them all and use "Select > Select Same > Tag Color"

You'll want to make sure "Transform Objects Separately" is selected in the Context bar

I support a toggle as well.
My use case involves needing to input document dimensions at export time, e.g. I'm exporting a thumbnail/small version of a larger file.
As it is now, I have to wait for the preview to render before being able to type dimensions into those fields.

My secret wish is that more Natural Intelligence is being seated in front of computer displays.  

I seemed to have fallen victim to this same issue.
Was doing some odd system stuff on my Mac for other purposes (rebooting in different partitions, resetting some configs, etc) And then all my Affinity Apps got stuck starting up somewhere around "loading fonts & content". Several force quits and a restart later and they all asked for license activation, but would crash before I had a chance to enter any info.
Deleting the v2 folder as @Paul Hodgson mentioned seems to have cleared it up. Had to enter activation on one app, and accept terms for all three, but I'm back in business.

An impressive list of bug fixes: very appreciated, and some of them looong overdue.  
What I would also like to see on the list is a summary of known issues, particularly those that are already scheduled for the subsequent update, plus those major but often reported and acknowledged issues that still need to wait for a fix (for whichever reason). thanks

A quick way is just duplicate the black text
Change the original text layer to have a black stroke with no fill colour
Then move that (lower) layer a "few" pixels to the left
But you would need to test it with your chosen font to see how it looks

• Duplicate the text
• Convert to curves
• remove "outer" edges of letter shapes
• nest texture into remaining curves layer

Is there much call for the "Semi-Circular" spiral? I get that it's a recreation of the workaround people have been using, but with a true Linear spiral, I can't see a use case for it. The double-back option is nice. Could that be added to other spirals as well?

I'm a recovering font addict myself. I switched to using Typeface recently and did a deep purge of my collection to weed out the old Postscript fonts that are being phased out. I'm happy with the app. It has a lightweight feel to it, but doesn't skimp on features. And it seems to have regular updates and improvements.
