Currently my problem is to quickly switch from text editing to the move tool. escape / escape / v, it is really too long.
I thought that changing the v key to a key more accessible with my keyboard (windows, azerty) would be more pleasant.
In the keyboard shortcut configuration window, I first looked for the entry "filter" or "search" which is not offered. I saw that the shortcuts are grouped which is good but the window does not resize.
Then with "Shift+Esc" I was able to modify the "V" key by the "Esc" key.
Tapping Escape three times sounded good to me, but it doesn't work even though it's displayed in keyboard shortcuts.
This is just an example of my journey with the use of the "keyboard shortcuts" dialog box. To answer the question "Text Editing -> Move Tool" I found a large number of posts on this forum without having read a real solution.
I therefore strongly advise you to improve the configuration window in order to easily adapt Affinnity to these preferences.
Hope this message is helpful.
I admit that my frustration is great with the switch to Affinity. Performance and functionality are really great, but ergonomics are tough for me.
I work in the 3D environment, I invite you to study the ergonomics of Rhinoceros 3d. This software has many buttons and user controls, but it is flexible at will.
good to you.
