  1. Layering question. As you can see, the planet glyphs have a rectangular image shape which eclipses the rings. This is with the planets on a higher layer than the rings. But if the planets are layered below the rings, they disappear entirely. I do not understand why the space in between the rings is included in the rings' layer. Shouldn't it be neutral space? I was hoping to have the glyph show through without those white corners interfering. Thanks for anything you might offer!
  2. Sorry for the amateur level of this question, but where are the dimension controls for the Cog Tool? I've enabled my Context Toolbar and it has none of the controls I see in the video: no Teeth Number, Inner Radius, Hole Radius, etc. Just stroke size and three other icons, a target, an eye, and two arrows circling each other. I've looked elsewhere for these controls and had no luck. I am trying to divide a donut shape (two concentric circles) into twelve, to form a zodiac, with straight lines dividing the sections. Is Cog the easiest way to do this? Thank you.
  3. Thanks so much for your help. I'm going to fiddle with redrawing it from scratch, as a couple of you suggested. Many thanks.
  4. I am new to graphic design and photo editing, and bought Affinity Design for a project. But it seems Design does not have a Selection Brush? At least not one I can locate. Is that the case? In the below image there are seven smaller rings around the center; I want there to be ten smaller rings. It seemed to call for a Selection Brush. Or am I mistaken? Did I buy the wrong program? Thank you for your patience and any guidance you can offer.
