  1. Ever since the update I am no longer able to open any files located on my NAS. I have to copy them to my desktop and open from there. I am also not able to save or export a file back to the NAS. See attached screenshot of errors.
  2. Can this be done? It looks like I can do it in Publisher...I would think it can be done in Designer too??
  3. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I gave up on trying to blend/clone it in and just ended up playing with levels, brightness, dodge, burn etc. to lessen the effect. This is what I ended up with.
  4. Hmmm...I'll give this a try. The above is not terrible, better than the white. Good idea on the clone...maybe I can clone side of face from another shot and try to blend it in.
  5. Looking for some guidance on the attached image. For the life of me I cant seem to figure out how to reduce/remove the bright spot on the side of the subjects face. Any suggestions/methods to try would be appreciated! Thanks!
  6. Thank you for the reply. I'm definitely not doing a multi-page layout. 2 pages at the most and those could very easily just be two separate files...like a front & back. Does Designer handle text just as well as publisher? I guess I'm trying to figure out the major differences between the two programs. Pub is definitely the way to go for multi page, book/magazine layouts. But I'm not going to be doing that so I'm kind of leaning towards designer. Although I do like the tables feature in Pub.
  7. Hi All, I know this question can be debated to death but I'm hoping the forum can provide some guidance for me. I currently use Photo and absolutely love it. I use it strictly for home/personal/recreational use. I use Photo for image work obviously, but I've also been using it to design/make holiday cards, posters, flyers etc. I'm looking to step up my game a little and thought either Designer or Publisher could be useful. I'm currently playing around with the Publisher beta and like it so far. I've also briefly used the demo of Designer. For the purposes of simply laying out cards, posters, flyers etc. which program do you think would be best/easiest to use? To be clear I'm not going to be drawing or designing shapes/art by hand. I'm simply using images and text, graphics to design cards, posters etc. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
