images cut into shapes/curves
in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

Hi new here and would really appreciate a bit of help with this.
I am usung affinity designer to create a collage of photos inside of the shape of a country.
I imported the photos, imported a silhouette of the country, couldn't figure out how to insert the photos into the country.
Drew around the country, creating a curve and tried to extract this from a shape (rectangle), no joy there either and still at a loss how to achieve what I want.
Please help
