  1. Ok, so here what i found. On H/A off, Metal - the application was very unstable. Export was fine, but there were crashes every now and then. H/A off, OpenGL - everything looks fine. App running smoothly, without crashes. Export looks ok. There was one crash during over 3 hours of work, but fortunately everything was saved. Turning off everything in the background didn't help. Same as creating a clean user. I haven't noticed that the application on OpenGL runs noticeably slower than on Metal. And my file is over 300MB, 40 pages and several hundred images of bottles inside. For now I'm leaving it as it is, I'm waiting for future updates and I hope it will work as it should. For now, although I really like using Publisher, I must say that InDesign is more stable. Although less comfortable.
  2. Thanks. Any known issues with 3rd apps so far? I have MacBook Air M1 2020, 16GB RAM, 8 cores of CPU and GPU.
  3. Thank you, I will definitely try it today. I just want to make sure my performance doesn't drop. Because it sounds like she's about to fall apart. EDIT Ok, @NathanC, you were right. Here's what I got on each setting. Hardware Acceleration off, OpenGL - without problems Hardware Acceleration off, Metal - without problems Hardware Acceleration on, Metal - one big pile of... So now i know how to deal with this problem. That's a lot. But still want to know, why i can't use full potential of software i bought.
  4. Hello, I'm having a huge problem exporting my files from Affinity Publisher 2. When I try to export my file with the whole thing rasterized (printer requirements, otherwise I have problems with transparency), Publisher generates big problems with the images in the file. I am attaching screenshots of what type of problems these are. Currently, I am unable to reproduce even worse errors involving image corruption (overlaying noise like on a TV, artifacts, distortion, etc.). Interestingly, exporting on a second Windows computer runs without any problems. Same on Publisher V1. I also attach my export settings and the package with the file. With the settings I sent, the file was generated correctly. But previously I had completely unchecked JPG compression and then one or another problem appeared every time. So maybe there's a reason here somewhere? Pkg.zip
  5. That's possible. Old Mac runs on older version of Mac OS (i don't remember exactly which version) - luckily in this case. But main problem is app crashing :). I uploaded the report obtained from the old mat above.
  6. For now, i have only this - screen from uploaded movie. New M1 Mac don't throw any errors. Only old intel mac show crash report. I will have access to it tonight.
  7. The same... Only if i set Metal to graphic engine. On internal and external display. What's important - when you move image inside frame in step two, you must use "cursor" (i don't know how to call it - put it in the attachment) with 4 arrows. Not doubleclick on image.
  8. Sure. https://we.tl/t-II3Jvww44A Here is afpackage with problematic publisher file. But i have the same problem with all of my files. Even if i create a new one - totally blank.
  9. Hello. I found very annoying error in Affinity Publisher for Mac. When you use full Metal acceleration in performance preferences (Display: Metal; Hardware Acceleration: checked Enable Metal compute acceleration) apps crashes in many different situations. I found specific one - the attached video shows it well but I will try to describe it too. find picture frame with image and delete image leaving the frame intact, then CMD+Z (undo) move image inside picture frame, then CMD+Z (undo) pick Picture Frame tool from left toolbar and try draw new frame - app crash instantly Problem concerns existing, old documents, not new one. It happens on both - M1 and Intel Macs. I tested this issue on versions 1.10.1, 1.10.0 and 1.9.0 on two macs - old mid 2014 MacBook Pro with i7 and GeForce GT750m 2GB and new MacBook Air M1 with 8-core GPU. Both running Mac OS Big Sur. What interesting, in my older Mac, i have possibility to set (in performance tab in preferences) "Open GL" in Display and "enable Metal compute acceleration" to on in the same time. In new M1 Mac when i turn on "enable Metal compute acceleration", Display option is locked on "Metal" setting. Error appears only when i set Display to "Metal". On "Software", "Open GL (basic)" and "Open GL" everything is ok. I attach video with steps to get an error and screen with troublesome settings. Nagranie z ekranu 2021-08-30 o 23.04.52.mov
  10. Hi, first of all - sory for my terrible english. I have problem with export to. When i try to export my work to PDF for the first time since open the file, everything goes ok. Everything except strange window where i have to allow access to folder and files (screen). On the second try Publisher crush. Not always, but very often. Another strange thing - this is happening only when i try to save PDF to iCloud folder, except Desktop and Documents (i have these folders in iCloud). Save on local folders also doesn't cause problems. On screen is about multiple files - it is no true. Try to export 1 file and overwrite existing one.
