Rectangle Tool: Drag + ^ I can't make it work. Is it implemented already or is it a bug related with international keyboard configs? If that's a circumflex accent, i need to press SHIFT+ ^ in my keyboard (portuguese) to access it. Maybe this is what's causing the problem?

I suspect that this may be a Mac question as much as an Affinity question I have my blue rectangle. I want to apply a linear gradient fill, white to blue, which just happens to be the colours in the gradient menu box (do these things have official Mac names?). I don't want to make any changes, I just want to apply it to my blue rectangle. I've tried reading the Help, but it tells me what the gradient fill can do, not how to get it to work! I was hoping to just drag the pointer across the rectangle like I could in DP...................... Advice, please! Also, I didn't really want a linear fill, I wanted a plasma fill (milky white clouds in a blue sky and all that), but there isn't an option - is there? I've just found the Gradient tool in the toolbar - the tooltip takes about 4 seconds to appear, at first I thought it wasn't working/relative to what I was doing. UPDATE - just tried the radial fill on a cog and that has worked perfectly.

Select all objects on a page - including text. Group. Drag to scale. Everything scales except text. Is this a bug or a setting option?

(later edit: sorry for the bitchy title :ph34r: ) I know there's been a few threads requesting either unlock all or hideObject/unhideAll, but I'm so frustrated that I created an account just to post this. I think AD is pretty awesome, the transition was almost flawless except this. Not even sure how some people can handle it in the current state, I know I'm struggling. If I want to unhide something, I have to dig through countless layers and hope to not spend the next half hour scrolling, looking for a missing checkmark. It's silly, really silly. I know some people are fine with layer hunting, but in my experience they are always slower, for obvious reasons. I suppose AD is trying to change this lock/hide paradigm, but there is nothing to replace it with. Because there is no option to automatically focus the current object in the layer palette either (I know about the right click, but it's a laughable workaround). And there's no way to unhide an object or all objects without frustrating layer hunting. So can we please have shortcuts for lock/unlock all & hide/show all, at least till you figure out something better? A script, a plugin, anything. Thanks guys, and keep up the awesome work.

If I want to remove spaces from a text frame, I can place a text cursor and use the delete key or the backspace key a few times after which it deletes the whole page of text together with its frame. If I then use the CTRL Z to restore it, the cusor becomes an empty circle, at the same time, or maybe earlier a new version of my text seems to appear in the layers palette. THere must be an explanation for this behaviour because it beats me to know what's happening.
