  1. Chris - thanks for quick input, but that did not work. I'm already set up with start page on left...
  2. For ease of printing I find I need my spreads to be single pages. I do not see where it is possible to convert already formatted & filled 2-page spreads to single pages. Am I missing something? Thanks, all for assisting!!
  3. I am unable to add a single page at the beginning of my doc that is made up of a dozen 2-page spreads. I go to the "add pages" window and instruct to add a single page before the current page 1; and I instruct to add "Master B" which I set up as a single page. But when I click "ok" what happens is that a single blank page replaces "page 1" of my first 2-page spread. Not what I want, for printing purposes; I want the back side of page one of that first spread to be blank.
  4. Updating my previous post on this: my doc consisted of a dozen 2-page spreads. I exported each one separately and tracked down the spread that generated the error message. The error message doesn't give a hint what the problem is. There was an image I had had trouble resizing and I deleted it and then created new frame, populated with same image as before, and, Voila! problem solved. This brings up the image placement issues many have commented, and I will add my voice on that elsewhere.
  5. After spending 5 hours revising a document I tried numerous times to export it as a PDF for print--and failed every time, getting the message, "An error occurred while exporting..." I had no problem exporting an earlier version a couple of days ago..Anyone have any idea what gives, what changed? Thanks!
  6. Please confirm: Windows users must have 64-bit system, APub will not load to 32-bit. Thanks!
  7. I agree - please add the Fit Box to Picture option!!
  8. Is "InDy autoframes" a feature of Affinity Publisher? I would definitely prefer the option to simply place an image directly within text size it, then activate text wrap. Thanks from a hopeless newbie!
  9. I want to second this comment about the clumsiness of the process to place images within text. Why have the frame option at all? One thing I like about the comparable Xara product is that you simply import the image & locate & size it w/the usual handles, than activate "text repel;" there is no separate frame. I much prefer Affinity Publisher over the Xara publisher software for many reasons, but this business of having to first create the frame, then import the image is cumbersome, especially when I have found it very difficult to know when I have activated the handles to resize or move the frame vs activating the handles to resize or shift the image w/i the frame.
  10. I'm not seeing any way to adjust spacing between lines, only where to adjust character spacing.
  11. I want to add a single page at the beginning of my 22 page document that is made up of double page spreads. In addition to my double page master I created a single page master, but every time I try to add this single page master before page one, I get another double page spread. I was able to create a new document the way I wanted, with a single right-hand page preceding a number of double page spreads, but with my original document I am unable to correct this problem of wanting the single page to lead...
  12. There does not seem to be a way to set up my preferred text wrap distance settings, so that I don't have to revise them every time I add a new photo...
  13. Could someone please confirm - Affinity publisher will not be available for Windows 32-bit systems??
  14. Unable to insatllI the program; I successfully downloaded the Publisher .exe file several times, bit have not been able to get it to execute. Using Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit.
