  1. Yes, removing the inner bleed is possible in facing pages--but I then have to convert to single pages to create the PDF I submit to the printer. When I switch off "facing pages" to create the single page file, the bleed is removed on the left side of ALL pages, odd and even, messing up the centering. When "facing pages" is turned off, the bleed setup is right, left, top, bottom--but what I need it to be is the same as you get with facing pages turned on: top, bottom, inner & outer.

Or: I need to be able to export facing page PDFs into single page documents...Can that be done??

    Thanks!

  2. The printer is asking me to eliminate the inner bleed. But the software is not letting me do that for docs with multiple pages. In facing page spread setup I can unlock the bleeds & change "inner" bleed to 0--but if I then switch off "facing pages" the bleed is removed from the left side of both odd and even pages, and now the bleed setup only gives me the option of removing left or right side bleeds for the entire multi-page file--when what I need is the option to remove the INNER bleed so the trim is made consistently throughout the document.

  3. Publisher Beta version 1.7.0.293 that I installed April 22 lacks two fonts earlier versions had: Chalkduster and Optima.

How can I get these fonts back? I had used them in a 140pp doc I created last fall in earlier versions. I really like these fonts and need them in order to update & print my existing project as well as use them in future projects.

    Thanks in advance for responding!

Are you saying that you want to have some images in color and some in black-and-white, and have the b&w ones just use grays?

That won't do the trick. For the printer (machine) to recognize selected pages within a mixed project as b&w, the whole page has to be grey-scale. But the way one sets a document up, as far as I can determine, the whole thing has to be specified either some form of color, or some form of grey-scale.

So, I'm asking if I'm missing something, that there is a way to format selected pages within a single doc as being either entirely color or b&w.

    Thanks!

  5. My question is whether it is possible, in a project having photographs on almost every page, to format it for mixed color and b&w printing, the main objective being to keep cost down. I learn, talking with a printer, that the b&w pages must have grey scale specified rather than full 4-color black specs embedded in the PDF. Otherwise, the machine being printed on will recognize the pages as full color even though the images are b&w. As long as each page is formatted either grey-scale or cmyk, the printer will recognize that & charge accordingly.

It appears, looking at "Document Setup" that the only option is to select either color or grey-scale for the entire document. Can someone tell me if there is a way I can select particular pages in a document for grey-scale instead of color?

Thanks, in advance, from a total newbie!

Actually it is bug. Currently you can update the default wrap border by setting it on a shape and then using Edit > Defaults > Synchronise From Selection (or the equivalent toolbar button). It should also update automatically when you edit the wrap settings. I'll log it to be fixed.

This approach is a bit cumbersome, but it seems to work. Tho I've never been clear the specific moment to activate "synchronise from selection." I put in my distances, then hit "synchronise," then close the text wrap box. I think that is right...

I have a similar issue. When I create a new spread doc I get the first and last pages listed as 'single page' before the pages i nbetween are all shown as 'two-page' spreads.

This is fine but when I tick 'Facing' check box after creating a single page document it groups all the pages into two page spreads.

I have a doc whereby graphics flow across all the pages and I need to check that they all lineup correctly ahead of print. I'd like the option to view any two pages side by side, with or without the 'centre-page' bleed. At the moment I can't see an easy way to do this.

Perhaps if you change the start page from right to left?

Have you tried on Document setup to uncheck the Facing pages?

    That worked - thanks!

Using this on an existing series of spreads, all my text and images are still there; however,  I find every page now has the same margin settings. What I want is a wider margin at the center of opposing pages.

I thought I would create a right hand and left hand master & apply those where appropriate, but I seem to be unable to create a pair single page masters with differing margin settings. I want a left hand master with 5/8" (.625") margins except 1" on the right side, and a right hand master with 5/8" margins except 1" on the left side. whenever I try to put the 1" margin on the left or right, all the other settings revert...

    Any suggestions?
