Application Versions

Nice design-really like it.

Sundays are always good for experimentation and blowing off some creative steam, without client deadlines and briefs.
So for this Sunday I created a poster for one of my favorite Electronic Music producers: Chicane. 
Chicane has released a few albums that have been my creative companions for many many years ad I always go back to them when inspiration is needed.

With this Affinity Designer template you can create your own Dodecahedron 2019 Calendar.

If you want to plot just the Dodecahedron you can export the plot data as a SVG-File only. (I use this template on a Brother ScanNCut Plotter thats the reason why I choose 96dpi as resolution.)

If you want to use my calendar template you can print only the print data, which you will find in the layers Druckdaten and Plotmarken. (I use the plot marks to justify my plotter)

If added a tutorial on my YouTube channel which demonstrates how to draw the dodecahedron with polygon shapes with five sides.

Print industry is my 2nd life and converting files by default to CMYK is not a good idea. Maybe it was years ago but not now. There are few reasons behind it:
- file might be printed on CMYKBG press which covers much more RGB than standard CMYK press
- file might be printed on 8 colour printer which covers even more RGB spectrum
- modern print industry uses software and hardware that converts RGB to CMYK better than desktop applications
- there are no CMYK monitors - what you see is not what CMYK press will produce
Printing nowadays went very much digital. There are digital presses that can print orange, green, spot colours, white, clear and more and it all depends on set up. If you send CMYK file you are loosing lots of colours. If you send it in RGB modern print processors in printing companies will convert it to current set up of the press and will give much more colours compared to standard CMYK. Stay with RGB and trust modern technology

Glad to be back on this topic.
Was Off cause of learning purpose; now i'm back with this new project that i want to share with you long time before it goes online.
On this poster/flyer project i really wanted to make something different then what i always do and this was made possible by taking time to study and apply the few of the New Affinity Beta.
Hopefuly, Smarty is hosting a Linux training next month and i will be the host/speaker and teacher with couple of friends coming to join us.
I will take time to create some nice stuffs and maybe (i say maybe) i will schedule a discovery session for Affinity products !

THX for your comment! I've just added a new version of my little SVG Calendar Generator.
You can now copy the SVG Data direct to your clipboard and paste it direct into your Affinity application.
Note! 
You should enable Copy items as SVG on the General tab in your Preferences in Affinity Designer.

Nice work but I have a question: Why do you convert files to CMYK and work in that colour space? There are no CMYK monitors, you are limiting your colour space by millions of colours. Work in sRGB and let printers covert it to whatever they need as you never know what print process they are using (they might print in CMYKGO for example). If you create poster in CMYK and send it to print on 8 colours inkjet you are loosing a lot. Stick to sRGB

If I may suggest something... If that's possible you could include option to choose between weeks starting on Sunday or on Monday as now it can't be changed unless I can't find this option.

A solution for implementing the Polish dictionary. Download the files downloaded from https://donate.libreoffice.org/home/dl/src/5.1.3/all/libreoffice-dictionaries-5.1.3.2.tar.xz?idx=2 and place them in the place shown in the screenshot. You can probably use this method for other languages.
