Hello I have been trying to do a mask. I am in the pixel persona painting with the erase brush which works fine but then trying to restore areas using a white fill with the paint brush just brushes white over the area?

Hello, yesterday I tried to open an image in Designer and then Photo without success. The file was a PSD originally, but had been changed somehow when being stored as a jpeg on my ipad in the Photos app there. Still, when I tried to open it in Affinity it said it couldn't open the PSD. So a PSD, a jpeg or an apple version of both? Any feedback welcome.
