Here you can see its an outside stroke

Unfortunately, the fill instead of the outside stroke is subtracted.
Did I miss something?

I am in the process of designing an icon for a circular slider. To create a transparent area around the thumb of the slider I have tried to use the transparency settings of the stroke. Unfortunately the results were at least unexpected for me.

The Slider consists of two donuts and a circle where its stroke should be transparent when exported into a slice. In the image, I used white as a stroke color to show which area should be later transparent.
If I just change the transparency of the stroke the following happens:

What I do not understand is, that the fill is now occupying the area of the stroke...
Any help is appreciated. Even a workaround on how to create a final slice with the desired effect.
