[Affinity Photo running on Linux with Bottles]

I have version 2 loaded on my Windows 11 host machine. I am using Photo as a learning project for installing ans using bottles in a VM environment. I have three Linux VM’s, Debian, Fedora and Ubuntu. I have managed to install Photo on each distro but when trying to run, the splash creen appears followed by another program window which remains empty. The splash screen stays on display.

I am trying to install Affinity Photo version 1 in Bottles on a Vmware Virtual Machine running Ubuntu. Everything proceeds OK and AP supposedly installs with a "completed" message but what do I need to do to get the software to run? I can find no pathway to the installed exe file. Stumped at the moment.

Thanks for the idea. I already exported a jpg and dropped it into a different application to print it. The point is, that doesn’t fix a major fault in the software.

Hi,

I have spent several hours putting together a compsite in Affinty Photo and whenever I select Print from the menu or CTRL+P the software crashes. I have also tried using the latest Beta version which also reacts exactly the same. Any ideas please.

I have recently purchased Affinity Photo and also find this behaviour tedious as most of my photo crops will be to the "original ratio". I would happily compromise though  if the crop tool stayed on the last format used as this would suit my requirements and any one using a different format on a batch of photos.

[Lens Correction in Affinity Photo]

Hi,

I have added three files. A Nikon RAW file from my D610 camera, shot with the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DiVC USD lens. The slr-nikon.xml file for camera identification and finally, the slr-tamron.xml file for the lens.

[Lens Correction in Affinity Photo]

Hi,

I shoot wildlife photographs with a Nikon D610 and Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di Vc USD lens. I have just purchased Affinity Photo and started looking through some of my pictures but notice that when I choose Lens Correction in the menu nothing is highlighted in the section below. The software seems to recognise my lens though. I have checked Lensfun which appears to support the lens and even followed the Tutorial on the Serif sight to download the latest slr-tamron.xml file. 

Am I doing something wrong?

[Master Pages not modifying document.]

Hi,

I have created a test publication with eight pages. These are displayed seperately and not as facing pages. By default they were set with 5 mm margins. I then created two master pages, a LH Page and RH Page with 20 mm inside margin and 15 mm for the remaining three. When I try to add these master pages to the publication using LH master to odd pages and RH master to even pages. Nothing changes in the publication..
