Publisher 1.7.0.312 keeps trying to repair.

Version 1.7.0.312 is installed on my windows desktop system. However, when I start the program I get the dialog box saying there is an update available. Upon downloading I see that is the version that is currently installed. Running the download I am offered the options to [repair] or [uninstall]. What's going on?

It appears that Publisher does not support opening any type of text document other than .pdf. I sincerely hope that this will be addressed as it would be a shame to give up a great program like Pageplus for this. David
