Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Press Q to Enter in Quick Mask Mode (or press the Quick Mask icon/button on the main toolbar on top) then transform the selection using the Move tool. You can scale, rotate, skew etc using the bounding box control handles (mouse-over them coming from the exterior of the selection until the cursor changes its icon to perform the respective operations).
