It imports as a different font, but that does not really influence the encoding of the characters, which are all basic and available in every regular font like the one above.

Thanks for your response, but I decided to just go with setting AD up anew. Most of the brushes and assets I had installed I had backed up somewhere, So I had to reinstall them, but as I wanted to get on with it and use the app, I just accepted this. It was not ideal, but thats what it is sometimes. As my older iMacs HD is filling up rather rapidly, I decided to get rid of the 10gb file and start anew. Everything now works as it should, as far as I can see.

Do you have Hej Stylus installed by any chance? I had this problem for a long time. Then when I uninstalled this app, it was gone.

Designer did not start without me changing the container file. All settings, brushes etc were lost in the transition...

When I try to zip said file inside the library at the said path, it tries to zip a 10 gb file, not sure what I should do to change that? I had a lot of custom brushes, assets and styles installed, perhaps this inflates the file size. I was amazed my self as I had no idea...

I had the exact same problem Designer. I did the trick you mentioned and that made it startup. Does this mean all customized settings are gone? If so, damn... Not quite the smooth roll out I had hoped for... edit: Oh damn, all custom settings, Interface, brushes etc... gone

I lost all the brushes that I imported, like DAUB brushes an the like. This did not influence the Vector brushes I imported, only the raster ones. I have to been able to replicate the crash until now, but I have not tried...

As the title says, when I double click an .afpub file in finder, it opens the document in Affinity Designer Beta. This was never the case before. Beta 1.7.0.376, iMac 2011, el capitan

A related Question: if the download is from your own store, will it work seamlessly with the version of Designer and Photo which I got from the app store?

I just noticed it crashes too when I select via triple click... very frustrating

I think that with this setting turned on, the finger should only perform generic gestures like pinch to zoom, rotate and pan, or other multi finger gestures. In general it should ignore the single finger gestures, for example click and drag to create a shape, tap to use the pen tool, etc. In the case of some tools the finger modifiers can be used, but only in combination with the pencil. Otherwise a single finger should only be able to toggle buttons on the interface.

Would be great if there would be the option to set it up with the new document. And to have the option to link the settings of the 4 sides, so I don't have to type the same value 4 times.

I used a brush from a DAUB brush pack with a specific wet edges setting, the DAUB Cluana from the Calamus set. It indeed seems to work OK with most other brushes I tested now, also from the same set. But I can reproduce the bug with this specific brush every time. I am guessing some kind of wet edges setting maybe??

When I paint a simple shape with the raster brush tool and try to select it with the flood select tool, it gets it completely wrong and selects way more than the little painted area. The extra selected area has no alpha at all, and changing the settings of the flood select has no consequence at all.

In the latest beta, I have the preferences set to use only gestures with the fingers, but this option does not seem to work properly. When I use the pencil tool, I can still drag with my finger with this option enabled, which should not be the case IMO. This seems to be the case for all tools except the brush tool. I noticed the same bug in the affinity photo beta too

I can not get Bleed to work with artboards. Is this intentional? If so, why?

I experienced a hang-up in Designer while editing a custom brush (it had worked without problems before). After force-quitting the app and reopening, all my imported and customized brushes were gone...
