transitdiagrams reacted to vojtz. in Affinity Designer iPad Color Palette Import?
Yeah. It's a pity. When I completely switched from Adobe to Affinity products a few years ago, I was fascinated by how quickly they developed features in this software. It is gradually weakening. 😞

Yeah. I‘m still waiting. About half a year ago I even messaged them in Twitter. There they responded that they are going to solve this. Just sad. It‘s a basic function and not some otherworldly magic. 😒

Any updates since then? This feature would really make a lot of work easier for me.

Glad you've got it working! As I said we do have this logged but I will get it bumped with your comments.

transitdiagrams reacted to Sean P in Issue with dash line style
Hi transitdiagrams,
There is a known issue that if a curve contains a pressure profile that isn't 100% pressure, then switching to a dashed line will fail to make the dashes appear.
If you select the regular stroke (to the left of the dashed button) you should see the pressure graph directly below. Please ensure you only have a start and end node on this graph and they're both set to the very top. If you don't see the text 'Drag handles to adjust pressure' then the pressure profile has modified.
You can reset the pressure by tapping a blank area of the graph and selecting 'Reset Pressure', after that switching to the Dash line style should show you the dash.

transitdiagrams reacted to konstantnnn in Ability to add Smooth Corners to Rectangles
Smooth corners and radius-ed corners are different things.
Read:
https://prog.world/ios-icon-shape-secret-is-it-a-squirrel-parsing/
Please let us define — while creating a rounded rectangle, if we want to use radiused corners or superelipse smooth corners. I have provided an idea on how this could be implemented. This is crucial for design work of good taste, and the building block of all iOS design, and good design
Let's beat illustrator to this one, and catch up to sketch

transitdiagrams reacted to Grayhem in Ability to add Smooth Corners to Rectangles
Yes please this is needed - this is a feature in Figma [ design tool for mobile development ] in their corner radius section. Corner smoothing.
The problem with Figma is that when exporting an SVG with this corner smoothing applied, it doesnt respect the extra smoothing and just gives you the 'bog-standard' rounded corners. So all the nice smoothing is lost.
Affinity could be first to implement this? so that your extra smooth corners could be 'baked' into the paths.

transitdiagrams reacted to Grayedout in Saved grid and page setting
I’ve just started using the iPad version, I think it would be very helpful if when you reloaded a page or project settings were kept. When I reopen projects I have to reset the grid to on the snapped on and also change the grid value none of this seems to be getting stored

transitdiagrams reacted to Sean P in Line thickness bug.
Hi muchitto,
Thanks for letting us know - this is something we do have logged and only occurs when using the Apple Pencil to select the value. Essentially the Pencil is causing the wrong input dialog to pop up (the one without the unit selector below your value). Using your finger should display the correct one with the units and allow you to input the value correctly. I will get your comments passed and get the issue bumped with development.

I didn’t know this feature was available on iPad. Works a treat too. Somewhat hidden in the menu system so adding menu pic for @dcgall

transitdiagrams got a reaction from DM1 in Change Colors Globally AFTER Global Color Created
You may try to select one object of all objects you want to apply the global color. Then use the selection "same fill color" function and all object of the same color should be selected. Then you apply the global color to the selected objects and you are finished.
That's how I would do it.
And next time start with global colors in the first place

transitdiagrams reacted to wtrmlnjuc in Better feature surfacing akin to the Desktop version of AD
iPads do not have any UI that is used to surface features of the tools you’re using, unlike the bottom bar that surfaces commands on desktop. AD is powerful but many users could miss features without better surfacing by the UI. For example, I know I can do shear transforms on objects with my iPad but it is incredibly difficult to figure out how. In contrast, shear transforms are very easy to figure out on desktop largely because there are tooltips which tell you how. Additionally, holding the ? does nothing to help clarify what the small buttons on the bottom toolbars do.
A different but related topic, concerning the lack of tool descriptions on iPad:

transitdiagrams reacted to wtrmlnjuc in Having “Touch for gestures only” enabled should let touch interact with the Split View Mode element.
The split view mode element is not part of the document, and should be able to be interacted with (dragged) by touch. Since i have TfGO enabled, I want my fingers to be the main form of interaction with the UI, and my Pencil to be the main form of interaction with the content. The issue here is that 1. The UI overlaps with the content, and 2. I don't want my Pencil to be used for adjusting UI, especially not while it overlaps with content.
Simple sketch document for reference. Now imagine doing the same interaction with a complex file.

Hi @transitdiagrams,
No news here, sorry. I've bumped our report to bring this up to developer's attention again. Thanks for your feedback/support.
