I also tried different performance options and also without better results.
Hope this gets fixed in the next version as this can be annoying to waiting just for minor changes of the corner. 🙂

Many thanks for uploading that for me! I can confirm I've been able to replicate this issue both on Windows and Mac, therefore I'm getting it logged with our developers now
In my testing, there was not much noticeable difference with the above options enabled/disabled, so I believe this to be a more computational issue, rather than rendering or compositing.

Ok, I’ve learned:
that touching any part of the bottom banner brings up the full keyboard. If you don’t use the Apple Pencil to activate the text you want to edit, you get the full keyboard. I’d love to be able to use Scribble

I think they might be working on creating a scalpel tool instead, which can support more precise edits when in steady hands.
Since it would be unique in the industry they are taking their time to make sure it is done correctly.

I am curious as well, but guessing the team is working on 2.0. Hope they add a similar tool to the shape builder seen in Illustrator and just now, Vectornator:

I also waiting a tool like shape builder…
i tried the vectornator tool… and he is not able to work with line. You need to have closed spline.
so I hope it AD have a shape builder, he will be more like illustrator than vectornator.

Many thanks for providing this for me! I'd like to try a few different options.
Firstly, please change the 'Darstellung' option to Metal, restart the app as prompted and then try editing once again.
If this doesn't seem to change the behaviour, please try unticking Hardware-Beschleunigung at the bottom of the dialog, restart the app and try again once more. (Note the Darstellung should remain as Metal at this time.
If there is still no improvement, please return the Darstellung option to OpenGL, whilst leaving Hardware-Beschleunigung unticked, and restart the app once more.
Do you see any noticeable differences with these options enabled/disabled?

Thanks for providing that for me! My apologies as your understanding is correct, for strokes in the 'middle' of the appearance stack, neither behind/in front options are required, therefore neither are selected and this is expected behaviour.
Just to confirm, the file you have provided, does this show the same Stroke/Appearance error for you? As opening this file here shows the same values for me in both locations.

No, the closest thing you have is the Smooth button in the context toolbar for the Node Tool. The first passage/click removes coincident or collinear nodes if there's any, then further clicks will refit the line adding or removing nodes as necessary, so not exactly simplifying (reducing nodes/complexity).

Noticed that, yes. Too bad there ain't some shape analysis allowing to keep the designed curves as is, by acting on the nodes characteristics... But, of course, I guess this is just an idealistic dream. 😇

It would be great to be able to manually reorder Symbols.
Right now, I can't change their order, which, when working with a lot of Symbols, gets confusing fast.
Maybe even different options would be useful:
- Order manually
- Order by name
- Order by layer depth
- Order by time created (right now, default and, in my opinion, least useful)

Still an issue as of 2 years later, but another workaround is to click the symbol, click the symbol tab, click the Sync button to unsync the symbol, and then you can hide it. But you won't be able to resync the hide/unhide after that.

This appears to still be an issue. When I hide an instance of a symbol, all instances are hidden.

Hello? I also very much want this feature. While I do have the desktop version (and the other affinity properties, photo and publisher) I spend the vast majority of my time on my iPad. I’m super glad to have an option that isn’t Adobe, at the same time, having features like uploading palettes is pretty important too. A little help here please.

2022 and this feature to import swatches to the ipad version still isn’t available? I had to save the various color palettes I have to a document from my Mac affinity designer but then when i bring it to the ipad i see the palettes in that document but if i want it in the application I have to use all the colors individual to recreate the palettes shm when will a simple import function be available??? This thread was started in 2018 and we are going on to 2023…

Affinity Designer on iPad is super useful but its kinda cray this feature still isn't in there, just sayin

Thanks for your report!
I suspect this is due to your Decimal Places for Unit Types setting in Preferences, if you navigate to Affinity Designer > Preferences > User Interface you can set the number of decimals for each unit type.
However I believe the Appearance Studio should also be using the User Interface setting and is expected to report with 1 decimal place (when 1 is used in User Interface), and that's the behaviour I'm seeing currently on macOS and Windows -

This continued to work as expected, even when setting my macOS & Affinity app to German, so that commas were used as the decimal separator, therefore I'm unable to replicate this currently.
I can also see in your screenshot that neither 'Draw stroke behind' or 'Draw stroke in front' is selected in the stroke panel, which is also unexpected and something I've not seen before.
Are you able to provide a sample .afdesign file which shows this issue please?

Thanks for your report. I confirm the app is indeed crashing in Ventura when opening a PDF (and .Ai as well). I'm checking if we already have this logged and will do so in case it's not.

I was so happy to discovered Designer handle Symbol and then so sad to discovered it is missing swapping. 
 
I am creating a card game with many instances of the same symbol on each cards and I was hopping to create my deck in a sec. I’ll switch back to Adobe Illustrator for this one.
