  1. I really hope that Canva never applies their pricing model to Affinity...

It's actually quite a shame that they haven't learned from the history of other software. Thinking of Aldus Pagemaker in the late 80s, acquired by Adobe = it no longer exists shortly afterwards, and there are many more that could no longer keep the name and identity afterwards.

  3. Same here, I want to standard turn off off the generating preview panel like the example above from Gokhan Eser.

I've this problem too with documents with many layers, size or pages.

And, Clicking on Export button immediately does not always work or I want adjust file format or sizes. Then preview will reload.

Why do I want the turn off option? Sometimes you don't need to see/check preview again after a small correction in document. Or… I want to fill in the export settings properly first, after that preview can be generated.

I think Serif is just a hobby of a few friends. We shouldn't take their words so seriously. It was probably a mistake to think we could use their software for any real projects...

I don't think it is as a hobby of Affinity Team.

I am very satisfied with Affinity studio (suite) on my Macs.
If Publisher comes out on iPad, then maybe I can buy an iPad Pro 12.9".

Dear Affinity, what is the progress of development Publisher for iPad OS?

    No.

What is the intention behind your question? You can print to file with a Postscript driver to get something similar to EPS.

I have to exchange packaging and labels with Adobe Illustrator users. Unfortunately. Is Export to PDF the only way? Which PDF preset? X-4 + Nothing Rasterise + No JPG Compression + Embed Fonts?

I suspect the situation won't improve until enough people drop Adobe products for Affinity, and make it worthwhile for stock companies to provide file types which work in Affinity apps.

Yes, I also think it's right. Nothing happens before a lot of people have switched. I hope that somebody can develop an app that can convert eps / ai to a file with pdf layer while maintaining resolution, layers, shadow, gradient and other effects..

For now.... BUT: Which Stockphoto-download-store is suitable for Affinity with vector based images?

  7. How can I export Publisher document to PDF for press (CMYK) texts for magazin are c0 m0 y0 k100, texts must be 100% black. Ok. After exporting I still check in Acrobat and I see that texts are c70 m60 y58 k84 now.

I was in a hurry, so I opened PDF in PUBLISHER and manually converted texts to c0 m0 y0 k100 colors. But this way is not allowed.
How should I export correctly for publishing / printing / magazines?

Used profile required: ISO Coated v2 300% (ECI)
    CMYK
    Use DPI 300
    Compatibility:… ??????? ...
    Color Space: "As document
    Check: Overprint black "ON"

  8. Our online printing service and they accept only PDF/X-1a:2001 too, same als joaojotta.

Of course I realize that it is already 2019 now, the printer machines / presses are tuned to PDF/X-1a:2001 profile. (Just asked them)

Have you a plug in anywhere for this problem? Or a other solution, such as a external reliable converter (Not Adobe Acrobat Pro, please)
