  1. Hi community, hi Serif, no matter if InDesign, Quark or now the Publisher: I've always struggled with finding a really good export preset for mail attachements. It might be a rookie problem though. Most of the time the exported PDF is far too large for a mail attachements and most of the time it seems as if you have to accept a more or less bad compromise between a fairly good picture quality and file size. However, I found that there is quite a good preset for mail attachements in QuarkXPress that makes a possible to export a given document to a PDF with less than 1 MB file size and quite good picture results. I've always wondered why for example Apple's Pages makes it so easy to generate a PDF that is small of size and still offers a good quality without having to make any adjustments to the integrated export preset of that program. I've tried different options within the export dialogue of Affinity Publisher but whichever I did, the result was either bad in quality or the file size was just too large. And that although I've used a DIN A4 4 pages design with only three pictures, texts and path objects. It would be a great help if Affinity could work on a preset that produces really acceptable export results for such documents with an attachement friendly file size.
