Using the latest release of Photo Beta, when I import multiple png files, there are no multiple tabs showing. Doesn’t matter how many are brought in. is this a known bug? Is there some setting that needs to be turned on? This is on a MacBook Pro using the latest official OS release and latest Photo beta release. Thanks for any help!!

I forgot to mention: I am on a Macbook Pro running Monterey v12.3.1, AF 1.10.5

I've reset to default, restarted, etc. and still I don't see any drop-downs or choices to load a channel. What am I doing wrong? Is there some other way to load a channel other than right-clicking on the channel?

So, I did already review that page and I still don't get what the purpose of their tool is and what it is supposed to be used for. It definitely doesn't work like it does in Adobe Illustrator which begs the question, "why?" as well as how can I accomplish what I want to do which includes keeping my design art in vector format and to get rid of extra background that I don't want.

So, has anybody talked with Serif about this useless crop tool and/or lack of instructions on how to use it?

So, I tried the non-destructive approach mentioned earlier where once you've selected and applied the crop tool to the area you are interested in, copying to the clipboard and then making a new document from the clipboard, and I keep getting the cropped area inside a much bigger background. I've tried this several ways but never get the result I'm looking for with the cropped area filling the whole area. Maybe I'm missing something. I switched to Affinity products once I retired, I could no longer justify Adobe's subscription model. I bought the whole suite and overall have been very happy but Designer is really giving me problems. The crop tool should actually crop the image but I'm not seeing that happening (very simple to do in Illustrator). I've looked at the tutorials and the online manual but find nothing to explain how to use Designer's crop tool. Interestingly enough, even going to "Help" while in Designer, searching for crop brings up zero information. The other major headache is not being able to vectorize a bitmap image (jpeg or png). Just thought that I would throw that one out to the universe.

In Illustrator, there is a setting in Preferences to scale the line weight while scaling a grouped graphic. Is there is such a setting in Affinity Designer. I have a logo I'm trying to resize and, while the whole graphic can scale down in size, the lineweight doesn't scale so everything in the graphic runs into each other. Help!

I am unable to select a spare channel that comes in from a psd file. In Photoshop, it is an alpha channel that loads effortlessly. In Affinity, right clicking doesn't bring up a dialog box. I am unable to access the channel or change its name, the only thing I can do is delete it which, of course, isn't what I want to do.. I am on a Mac Laptop Mojave 10.14.6 and running Affinity Photo 1.7.2. What am I doing wrong? --Alan

All three images were created with the same programs and saved the same way. I've attached screenshots of the colour settings for both Photoshop and Affinity Publisher. Let me know what else you need to know.

I've created a 3-page document with an image on each page. Originally, the document was created with one page and I added the other two later. All pages had an image on it. When I opened the 3-page document, the colours were distorted on pages 2 and 3 (not the original first page). I then replace the distorted two images with the original of each and everything looks good. When I reopen the 3-page documents, the colours are distorted again. I've attached both the correct and the distorted colour versions.
