I don't think the document should have a colour mode at all - I think it should bring in whatever colour mode is in the document, then convert the colours on export. In fact, in a workflow for print it's favourable to have the images in the original colour space and then convert in the RIP. Or you can you convert to a colour space when making the PDF. I don't think the document colour space should force the images into any different space though throughout. That could be left until output.

Agreed - seeing the bleed and snapping to bleed is essential. I don't see any setting for Slug at all - which is vital in a print workflow!

Be great to able to choose the image to open in the application you want it to open in. Be a super help!

Defo needs GREP it was an amazign feature add to InDesign. And I'm pretty good with GREP so could help people out on the forums when it comes in!
