    As many contributors requested, I´m missing a very important shortcut: hitting ESC to release the texttool and have the movetool Its not only to move the box, its because I I must often select a few objects after typing, or to change colors of objects and so on. That is why it is a hindrance that the tool does not switch to the move-tool. Its very easy to locate the ESC-Button and hit it (twice). Its not so easy to search "v" and hit it without an acident. Its a most-requested feature, so please have a look at it (some examples, more in the forum). Thank you!

    Love this new feature - now its exactly as I wished to have it in 1.0. Is it planned to build some basic if/then rules? Like If "field 1" is not empty, then insert char ", "+"field 1".

    If the Finder (Catalina 10.15.7) opens an AP file that is already open, AP comes to the foreground and the spinning beachball of death can be seen.

    It would be nice, if AP dont touch the content of a PDF/EPS. Just import as it is. Im wondering why this isnt possible. I would like to work with AP instead of A InD, but this PDF-"Feature" is deadly for our company. We have to use PDFs from our customers in 80% of our work. With every occurrence of an PDF we must fear for the result. Please add a "leave untouched"-function, as requested a year ago. Hopefully ... Martin

    Hello! As discussed on several threats here in the forums, a european PDF-"Master" and notable member of some PDF-workgroups posted today https://pdf-aktuell.ch/pa/language/en/disastrous-pdf-x-4-compatibility-with-new-affinity-publisher-1-0/ Please fix the PDF-import or add a PDF-Pass-through. Its really important for using Publisher day by day.

    After placing a PDF-File in AP 1.7.1 linies are drawn where none should be (see screenshot). In this screenshot we compare the original PDF and the placed PDF after exporting again as PDF. If you look carefully, you can see the lines in AP 1.7.1 too. You dont need to export new PDFs to see the lines. I think this lines are the dropped shadow of the artbox of the blue bubble. If anyone of serif needs the files, please PM or answer on this thread.

    hopefully serfi will also give a choice for placing PSD-Files with fonts in it. at this time we cant import PSD-Files without substituting missing fonts :-(

    as udrabo mentioned, converting fonts to curves is no good idea. also in colormangement and in trapping fonts are handled in most RIPs somehow different than vectorelements.

    In 8 of 10 jobs we have to place PDFs "as they are". If AP didnt get the abilitity to import them as "picture" we cant use AP. :-(

    Thank you! Didnt recocnized that there is a different between the "A"-Tool and the "Textframe"-Tool. Now its clear.

    If I copy text from an LibreOffice-(Word)-Document and paste it in an existing textframe/field (AffPub 1.7.1) like this one (56 mm in width) the existing width is deleted and the new text is suddently 430 mm broad. If I drag the textbox smaller, the text is squeezed. Unfortunally all methods to reduce the width ending up in the result above. Any Ideas how to paste text in 56mm width?

    I am missing a most-used-feature: Select an object, duplicate the object by holding "alt" and typing for example +15 in the x-field of the transform-box -> duplicates the selected object(s) with an offset of 15mm to the right. Also used to duplicate an object on the same place, only to turn it a specific angle.

    it should be able to place guidlines like all the other elements on the site by selecting the guide an type the exact numeric place in the transform-palette.

    Please imporove this filter, because its a mainfilter for our layout-business. We get tons of bad dark photos (from schools and some churches) which we pimp up easily with the equal filter in AdPhSh. In AdPhSh it takes 1 or 2 seconds to optimize and the quality/result is milestones better than in Affinity Photo 1.6/1.7.

    Its mandatory (for me) to have a quick escape from many functions. So in PS its possible to hit "escape" on the keyboard and the actual transformation/funtion is gone. But not so in affinity photo. :-( Edit: Its built in Filter/Distort/Perspective (translated from the german version), but its not in some other essentials like the named crop-function, mesh-transformation. Please build this nice little feature in all/most functions for the next release. Thank you!

    If would be nice, if AF photo displays the resolution of an image at a specific size like PS do it in the bottomleft of an imagewindow. So you can decide on one look if the image is printable. The image in the sample isnt (72dpi on imagesize 224 x 338 mm).

    this a very very important missing feature. Its necessary to work with AP - without importing PDF/interpreting embedded fonts its not useable in the daily workout.

    Importing a PDF or (the same file as) AI-File with some gradients bring a very disturbed result. Also the exported PDF looks like the preview on the screen. See attached screenshot. If I resave the .AI as EPS and import this to AP 1.7.0.293, the preview on the screen isnt very nice but close on the original - the exported PDF looks like it should. If someone of serif needs the .ai, please PM or answer on this thread.
