That is just so simple that there would've been no way for me to think of it. Thanks G13RL, works like a charm.

@Morgoth, turn the triangle over vertically and draw a rectangle over it, covering it completely. Select both, do a Boolean operation "Intersect". Keep the triangle selected, "Layer", "Convert to Text Frame". The text will move from the base to the tip of the triangle.

There are several in the Learning category.
And this one in the Behind the Scenes category: Wing Chun llustrated Makes the Switch to Affinity Publisher.
    Good suggestion for another one.

Ligatures in pasted text may be Alphabetic Presentation Forms ff, fi, fl, ffi, ffl, and not the decomposed text string ff, fi, fl, ffi, ffl. If they are, find and replace is the way to fix the problem as there is no OpenType feature enabled to turn off.
Ligatures are enabled by default, but can be turned off from the Show Typography pane (Ctrl+Shift+T).

It depends which ligatures are being used. In addition to the ligatures mentioned by Bhikkhu Pesala there is also the possibility that ligatures encoded using Private Use Area code points are being used, or that the font is automatically displaying ligature glyphs where they are not actually encoded in the text. In rare cases there could be a ZWJ ZERO WIDTH JOINER character between the characters that are the basis of the ligature.
Could you possibly, if the text is not confidential, post an image of the display and some of the text characters please?

Is there a way to globally remove ligatures from a document created with pasted text?
Where can I turn off the use of ligatures if I do not want the pasted text to use ligatures?

I have a font installed that uses some symbols inserted into a line of text. One of the issues I am encountering is that the baseline for the symbols is too high. I know that I can use TEXT>Baseline>>Lower baseline to get the symbols into a good position. However, I am using these symbols quite a lot, so my question is this; how do I get the symbol inserted at the position I want every time without having to move each instance?

Have I ever said how much I appreciate the work the team is doing? If not, keep on rocking with the development.
