  1. Confused
BSAS got a reaction from garrettm30 in [Implemented] Data merge
Starting to think I want to return all my Affinity products - it seems that every day I find what I consider to be pretty basic functionality in the Adobe Creative Suite, meanwhile I log in to InDesign again for the first time and see that they have added a few new great new features. I'm also beginning to think the Affinity is expensive - it's not much better than open source.

    I am fed up waiting.

I have developed my own solution using Lr data to populate a Powerpoint template.
    Powerpoint then saved as pdf.

    Hi rtourtelot,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Change to the Move tool (make sure the layer is not locked) then drag from one of the corners. You can also rotate and skew using the same controls in the bounding box (mouse-over them coming from outside - you will see the cursor change to perform different functions).
By default we keep the natural aspect ratio for both images and text when you scale them. If you want to distort them press ⇧ (shift). You can change this behaviour to replicate what other apps do in Affinity Photo (or Designer) ▸ Preferences..., Tools tab, Move Tool Aspect Constrain dropdown.
  4. Thanks

By default you have to include them completely in the selection marquee. If you just want to touch them, you can change the default with the first checkbox in Preferences > Tools.
