    Hello
At the moment it is not possible to scale a placed PDF with % always in relation to its original size.
This is necessary if you work with scale plans etc.
My request is to have a % number in the transformation tool to scale PDFs always to its original size, like it is already possible with pictures.

    Thank you.

I agree! This would make PDF handling in certain situation much easier. On the other hand I like to have to possibility to edit a places PDF as it is handled right now.
So, to have the option to place a PDF as-is or to make it editable would be awesome!

A big problem for me is the fact, that I cannot place PDFs in APub with embedded fonts that are not installed on my computer. Well, I can place them but they don’t look like they should, because the missing fonts were replaced!
In a magazine I have to place a minimum of 70 ads that I get as PDFs from multiple customers. I only have to place them onto my pages within the editorial content. And they have to be ‚as they are‘ when it comes to printing. It’s not possible to tell all the customers: "Please give me all the fonts you have used"!
So please make it possible to use PDFs the common way: Put a PDF on a layout as it is, whether the fonts used in it are installed or not.
    Kindest regards
    Udo

I second this. These are not one of those „nice to have“ or „add a button to make it easier“ feature requests. This is simply a necessity for all users dealing with print design.
Fact is, that everyone, who creates print products, is aware, that these options are available in literally every second and third class publishing app, and doesn’t understand, why it is missing in Publisher …

    Yes, I support this!
It should be possible to handle placed PDFs like placed Images with regard to size and frame fitting. This is essential!

sorry, this is not a professional workflow if you need to layout architecture plans or vector graphics that need to be scaled. (How architects or architectural book designers do)

What the... I just tested and your right. Normal images like jepgs can be adjusted as a percentage, but an eps like a logo or a plan doesn't work. see screenshot. Sorry but this is a NoNo.

It seems "Fields" can be used to insert section names etc. But it is also possible to create new fields?
I'm looking to create running headers based on character or paragraph styles, where I'm able to define them like in InDesign.
So, is it possible to create new "Fields" ?

    Hi redline.wolfgang,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Some users already requested support for DXF and/or DWG files.
We are considering adding support for these kind of files in the future.
