Hi Can someone at Affinity please deal with a long-standing issue with loading documents to Publisher and the annoying error message at the top that says "Loading 1 Document". It's infuriating! I'm using a Mac desktop with Sonoma 14.6.1. I am also loading from iCloud, which may be the problem. Surely there is by now an easy fix, because it is driving me mad waiting for a document to load, which can take hours! Come on Affinity ... sort it out, please! No one has time to waste waiting for documents to load. It should be instantaneous, like every other App. Keith Watts

Sorry MikeTO ... I can't find a folder with all the Affinity resources. I have tried search in Finder without success. Could you give me an exact path starting with Library then where the Affinity folder is. Thank you

Thankyou MikeTO for being so prompt. One question ... where do I find all the linked resources to move them out of Icloud? All right two questions! Would you advise not using icloud and store affinity Publisher files on say an external hard disk to avoid the slow loading problems? Keith

Aftwer my document won't open, I now have this error message "The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0)." I have attached this message. Hi, I've been trying to open an affinity publisher file for days now. it keeps saying loading 1 document and never opens. It's an important document and I'm very frustrated about it. I looked at various forums and it seems a lot of people are having this issue. Why doesn't Affinity tackle this problem?? Or at least offer a solution that works? I also noticed in the forums as a last chance, I could download it for someone to check it and maybe fix the file. Can I do this, please. I am getting a bit desperate! I have attached my corrupt file ... Beauty Room Rent 1 but it won't upload. Is it because I have it stored in iCloud? Thank you for converting to pdf's. That helps a lot! I hadn't noticed them in the last email for some reason?? I do have the latest version of Publisher, but there are several older files that will not download, even in Publisher 1. But you've proved the files are not corrupt. I have also tried copying the files to my desktop, but they won't open. I have other Publisher files I saved originally on my internal hard drive, but they won't download in Publisher. I can't believe nobody else has this problem and not complained about it?? I thank you again Murfee for you kind help and hope this problem is looked at by Serif and fixed in the next upgrade.

I am using imac 2020 with MacOS Sonoma Thank you Murfee for responding so fast. Yes the missing resources are on an external drive, but neither file will open on my Mac using Publisher 2. Other files won't open also. There is clearly an issue with Publisher that Serif should seriously look into, as this is a birthday card for my Granddaughter I cannot print as I can't download it! I have attached the download message that everyone else is getting. Like everyone else, I love Publisher and have used it since PagePlus days. But when you can't download a file you have worked hard on, it makes a mockery of the App however good it is. Come on Serif sort it out! Hi I sometimes like to gather multiple photos to add to my project. I have discovered that I can add multiple photos and they conveniently go into a column on the left called 'Place images'. But, when I add one image into place, unless I use all of them, they just disappear and I have to re-add them all again. Is it possible to add multiple photos to one area, so I can pick and chose any image, as and when, without losing all of them? Keith Watts

Hi Firstly, let me say I truly love Publisher! However, there are a few quirks that frustrate me and probably, it is something, I am doing wrong and can be fixed in prefs, but I don't know how? My frustration involves the move tool, which I use a lot, but as soon as I complete a task with the Move Tool, it changes to another tool I don't want and I have to reclick the MT icon. If I try to use the shortcut V, it normally adds a 'V' to some text, which I don't want. Is there a way, I can default the Move Tool so it never changes until I want it to? Kind regards Keith Watts

Early days, but I would like to see as in PagePlus, publication type options, such as regular, folded, booklet, large and small publications and a preview graphic. I realise it is included in Publisher, but for amateaur enthusiastic designers like myself, graphic previews tell me exactly what my folded (for example) publication will look like and therefore confident to design.

I've been a fan of Serif Pageplus for many years and well pleased Affinity Publisher has now arrived. I have had a play and wondered if Text Presets were going to be added like Pageplus? I found this option useful for quickly trying out ideas before designing myself.
