Would be cool, if it was as complex as Illustrator's: they solved it by using transform-effects which can be applied multiple times with different values.
For example, making a notepad-grid:
make a tiny rectangle (0,5pt x 0,5pt) add effect "transform"(x-offset: 5mm, with 39 copies) add 2nd transform on top(y-offset: 5mm, with 56 copies) voilá you have a A4-sheet full of perfectly spaced out half-centimetre-dots special: adding rotation 1° distorts this to an interesting pattern This would be a powerful feature! At least add it to Designer!

I use "Step and Repeat" all the time in InDesign as well. I think this is my number 1 request. Hope that feature shows up. In the mean time, experimenting with align and distribute, but I don't find that nearly as easy.

I consider a step and repeat function essential if Publisher is going to be a replacement for Quark Xpress which I currently use. Step and repeat is essential for forms design.

A solution for implementing the Polish dictionary. Download the files downloaded from https://donate.libreoffice.org/home/dl/src/5.1.3/all/libreoffice-dictionaries-5.1.3.2.tar.xz?idx=2 and place them in the place shown in the screenshot. You can probably use this method for other languages.

We will be displaying bleed in the main view in an update 'real soon'. Guides and snapping will come at the same time or shortly after.

Our bleed is quite basic at the moment and does not include a bleed view but a far more advance version should be available at some point before it is released.
You can clip object to the edge of the page instead f showing them go over by going to View > View Mode and enabling Clip to Canvas

So I've added some images and text frames in the master pages (facing). And created normal pages from these master pages... so far so normal.
The text frames are visible in the normal pages view but I can't add / insert any text to them. It's almost as if APublisher wants me to add text frames only in the normal pages and only use guides in the master pages?
Am I missing something?

This seems like a reasonable work around for the time being. Not great for a ~500 page book though but for most smaller documents this seems OK. The InDesign shortcut of holding a modifier key or two down and clicking on the elements to edit from the master is pretty helpful. Allowing by item control for each page as to which master elements are applied and which are not, very powerful and means you may only need a small number of master pages per document.
