I tried D&D from File Explorer & was on a roll for six images, then it happened, showing 3/4 picture & 1/4 blank canvas. From that point it was hit & miss. Absolutely no issue in regular 1.9.1 Affinity Photo. D&D from ACDSee works just fine there. Thought I might delete Beta & re-load if no one else is noticing the issue.

It appears to be any file that I drag and drop. I did a drag-and-drop and then a file/open on a couple more and the same thing happened, but only on the drag-and-drop. My system is a desktop Windows 10 64 bit. I'm dragging from ACDSee but I've done that for quite a while.

Snag_cbb0860 (Center) is original tiff that I dragged into Affinity Photo Beta (Win 10). Snag_cbb188d.png is 1st result after D&D. Snag_cba1d.png is 2nd D&D. Did a regular File; Open of same photo with good results. Beta Ver. 1.9.2.1005. No issues prior to latest download of Beta.

win 10 (64) - 24GB RAM - Core Intel 15-8400 - NVIDIA GT 1030 - Renderer "WARP" Screen froze after crop on 32 bit image. Could not get mouse pointer to move without going to task manager & shutting down. The WARP work around fixed all my issues. I've got the NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 [Display adapter]. I believe you said that there is a conflict with Nvidia display adapters.

Consistently crashing when I use "File/Open - File/New..., but do not crashing when I Drag & Drop the same image into Affinity Photo. The file opened for a few seconds, then Affinity Photo shut down. 1:20 PM Shut system down for 10 minutes & re-booted. Opened Affinity Photo & loaded above file with no other apps running. Affinity photo Beta Version 1.9.0.780 crashed While attempting to create a new stack. Also crashed attempting Focus Merge. Nine RAW images. May crash before align process, may crash during or after. Have used Helicon for many years. NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 Running Windows 10 - 64 bit. 24 gigabytes of ram. Intel Core i5-8400 Drawing images from external HD.

Considering R C-R's comment I removed & reloaded af but the same thing happened. I then paid closer attention to the "tolerance" %. It seems for this pixel image 33% works. I believe the selection brush would be a lot easier than attempting multiple "swipes" till I got the % right. Perhaps it's like everything else. The more one does it the better one gets.
