  1. Good morning all and thank you once again for your participation in the problem I've been having. Good news, it is sorted! I chatted with an Affinity agent on FB and after much back and forth he suggested that that if a roll back didn't work that I should try the following - 1. In the 'Devices' Tab of Colour Management, check 'User my settings for this device' 2. Press "Add" and scroll down the list to find "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" and press "OK" 3. Select the sRGB 2.1 profile and press "Set as default profile" 4. Close the colour management interface and restart your PC 5. Try opening Designer 2 and check one of your images. Neither I nor my IT guy can understand how this changed. I wouldn't even have known where to find this option let alone change it. Hopefully it might help someone who experiences the same problem. I'm sooo happy!

  3. Thank for all your input and I agree, sleep is the best option right now! I will contact my IT guy tomorrow and see what he comes up with. I've just opened one of my files on my iPad app and no problem there. It really confuses me as to why only Affinity suite is affected an none of my other apps, very odd. Good night and thanks again.
  4. I wish I knew. I cannot even think straight anymore. If it were a GPU issue could it affect only one app on my computer?
  5. Thanks for offering to try this. Attached original jpg. Same image opened in app. Image exported from app2. Img opened in app.afdesign. Hope this will suffice. It doesn't appear that the .afdesign file uploaded.
  6. I'm really a bit clueless so I honestly can not even guess where the problem may lie.
  7. I can do this but I really would like to get to the bottom of the problem as to why this happened. As you've probably gathered I'm not too clued on all the ins and outs of the software as it works for what I'm do without having to get into the professional side of things.
  8. I cannot see this - the actual file color profile (shown in line below menu while hand tool is active)
  9. The reason I say this is because I am in the process of updating over two hundred listing images to suit Etsy who, in their wisdom, decided to change the size of the listing image place holders. Some of the images within the older files I want to upgraded and if I'm working with these dark images I have no idea what I'm doing, colour wise. Likewise when creating new digitals working with oversaturated images within designer and attempting to get a good end result when exported is going to be a huge problem.
  10. Am I correct in saying that because the colour difference is only in the Affinity suite that it has noting to do with my monitor, it is a setting within the software itself? I've basically used the app as-is since I bought it so I'm really stumped as to what has happened. All I know is that I can no longer work with it as it is and there goes my Etsy shop, along with it.

  13. Hi, I desperately need help with a problem I'm having with Affinity Designer. I created a set of background papers, printed them and saved the file. When I reopened the file the images were horribly oversaturated. I then discovered that every single file I've created since 2017 have the same problem, in Designer, Photo and Publisher. Even if I drag an image into the app the same thing happens. I have no idea what I did wrong but clearly I must have changed/clicked on something I shouldn't have. I have done a fresh install of all three apps, opened them while holding the cntrl key and cleared everything thinking this might help but still no go. The strange thing is, if I export an oversaturated image as a JPG or PNG the result is quite normal. I am at my wits end because all my files are now useless. I would be most grateful if someone could assist me please. Attached is a screen snip of how it appears in Designer and how it appears when exported.
  14. I'm using Windows 10 and am having the same issue with the selection brush too.
  15. Problem sorted. Silly me, I somehow managed to activate a new option on the move tool context toolbar which allows selection to consider items inside a group.
  16. What is even more strange is if I select the 'edit in Affinity Photo' option all the images that are ungrouped in AD are grouped as they should be AP.
  17. Thanks Seneca for your reply but I definitely have not selected the node tool and nor have I double clicked on an image I've wanted to move. Basically I've just been working the same way I have been doing for the past eight years or so. This problem only started today and it has confused me totally
  18. Good evening, I am hoping that someone can help with a problem I'm having with AD. When I group images on the canvas usually I am able to move them around as a group. Now suddenly I can only move a group once and the second time I try the images are ungrouped. The only option I have is to select the group in the layers panel each time I want to move something and this is really a pain to do. On the canvas I can try to regroup the images until I'm blue in the face but nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling AD in case I had inadvertently changed an option but it made made no difference.

  20. I'm having a problem with brushes as well. While working with a brush in pixel persona, the program crashed and when I reopened all my brushes had vanished. I attempted to reload and got an 'error loading brushes' message. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and still no luck. My brushes in designer persona are still there and functioning without a problem but I have tried every which way and cannot get my brushes back into pixel persona.
