  1. Hi Dan Sorry, I had other major (unrelated) Mac issues so it has been out of action. I think I entered the whole System folder as a search location, not wise! In an ideal world, Luminar Neo would recognise the presence of Affinity Photo 2 and place an appropriate plug-in in an appropriate place, but I guess that is wishful thinking!
  2. I had major other issues with my MacPro so no screen grabs at moment. Basically, Luminar Neo offers a plug-in, but only for Adobe, which I don’t have on BigSur. If I invoke that for Photoshop, and then look for that in Affinity Photo 2, it doesn’t see it. Before I try and track down if and where the plug-in is located, I wanted somebody to tell me that it definitely works on MacOS. There are many people saying that it doesn’t!
  3. Has anybody achieved a connection from Photo 2 to Luminar Neo via the plug-in feature? If so, I would appreciate any hints? MacOS Big Sur.
  4. Brilliant! For some reason it didn’t work with the app on the dock, it worked fine using the Application folder. Thanks
  5. In an attempt to use a plug-in to Luminar Neo, I added a search location in settings. This caused a ‘crash’ in the Photo 2 boot with the rotating coloured wheel. I thus decided to re-install Photo 2 but I get the same crash. Where are the settings stored so that I can remove the old values? MacOS Monterey on a MacPro 5,1 after some reading, I understand it is possible to do factory reset before booting? Please confirm how on MacOS?
  6. Hi Chris Unfortunately it is not on the list for High Sierra. Indeed I cannot open the G9 RAW files in 'Preview' or see them in the Finder. This is where it gets messy! Within Affinity, Serif Labs or Apple Core WILL open a G9 RW2 file, but not if it uses the High Resolution mode. Even more messy, a normal RW2 file from the G9 is opened in Affinity 1.6 with full chromatic aberration correction, but in 1.7 beta there is no correction. I guess this MAY just be a work in progress. pretty much all my other Apps that accept Camera Raw, like Luminar 3, Silkypix 8, Aurora HDR Pro, Photomatix Pro 6, all accept the G9 files (inc HR) so Affinity is behind the curve! I don't have any Adobe CC Apps so I cannot know where they are. FWIW
  7. I am confused! I am on High Sierra on Mac and not likely to progress beyond there. The current (111) beta does not support the Panasonic G9, so is this due to my version of the OS or due to work in progress? Please advise about situation for the expected release version? In practice it appears to only be an issue with the HD feature files, but clearly it is not a good place to be!
  8. I am a new Affinity Photo owner. I am a keen HDR user so immediately trialled it's performance on some material I have used previously with the other HDR programs I use. I was disappointed in the low level of automatic ghost suppression, with no apparent method to fine tune this. I appreciate there are workarounds but they are not an attractive option, at least until I get to appreciate the full opportunities for the other HDR features. Please consider adding better ghost suppression in future versions. I assume the same issue would apply to other stacking operations.
  9. I recently purchased Photo from the Apple Store having previously downloaded the trial. Where do I download the Macro Pack?
