sleekdigital got a reaction from meefox in Background from mask is visible as 1px outline
Hopefully this screenshot can make the idea more clear. The Clipping layer is the one on the left, the Masking on the right. Notice the Masking doesn't have the red outline around the dark area. The downside is that you need an extra shape for the background color (in this case a red rectangle.)

sleekdigital got a reaction from saarge in Photo and Designer: Seamless tiles and infinite canvas
Sorry to resurrect this old thread... I was hoping to be able to do this, but no, symbols are not quite enough. I tried setting up a 3x3 grid of symbols. As expected, the paint does not "wrap" when you paint across the symbols. I want this feature soooo bad.

sleekdigital got a reaction from Alfred in In AD, help with Fx balloon look
Here is my attempt. I'm not sure if it gets you any closer than the others, but it makes use of a handy trick I found... You can get stronger FX by exploiting the "Scale with object" toggle. Toggle it on and then scale your object much larger than the original. Then toggle it off and scale the object back down to normal size. I did this with the bevel/emboss to get a more rounded look than you could get by applying it directly. Neat huh?

sleekdigital got a reaction from Alfred in [AD] bitmap fills
Would be nice if fill tool made it easy to select bitmaps from imported assets instead of always having to browse the hard drive.

sleekdigital got a reaction from janndk in Affinity Designer for Windows has launched!
Its certainly a fair price, but I think what desult means is that Serif Drawplus owners were expecting a special discount rather than the same discount that anyone can get. Its no big deal to me, but I can see why some might feel a little slighted.
