TEXT tab does not work in my Affinity Photo

I use AP primarily for text flipping for engraving transfers, not very much for photos. I have watched numerios tutorials and can't get anywhere with them, please help Rob

Why won't Affinity hook up wi-fiedly to the printer? When I do ctrl+p it goes to download screen. Please help, someone has to know what i AM going through. papart
