Yes, opening files from within the Designer app works, but is not always convenient when browsing files from multiple apps. A fix for this would be a good thing.

Affinity Designer documents open in Affinity Photo, not in Designer, when opened from the Files app on my iPad. I am using iPad Pro, 12.9-inch, 3rd generation, iPadOS version 13.6.1. Can I correct this?

Two problems that, for use of Affinity Designer in technical illustration, I would like to see resolved: 1) What is the best way to scale (resize) an object, say up or down a certain percentage? Do you have to do the math and enter new values in the width/height edit boxes in the Transform studio panel? 2) What is the best way to move an object a certain distance in a certain direction? Again, do you need to do the addition/subtraction and enter the calculated values in the X/Y boxes of the Transform panel?

Thank you for the information. That clarifies it. I've been using Affinity Designer for some time on a MacBook Pro, mostly for technical vector illustration, and have been looking forward to the iPad version. It'll have to wait.

I have an older iPad Air 2014. It's running iOS 11.4.1. Affinity Designer for iPad is stated as being "compatible with the iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, iPad 2018, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch." The word "compatible" is not defined. What would happen if I try the app on my iPad Air? If it involves possible loss of some functions, with others working OK, I'll go ahead and give it a try. Anyone with experience in this area?
