  1. @Gabe, Just to be sure, I’ve spent half an hour more with this same document and I could not replicate the bugs. Everything seems fine in 2.0.3.
  2. In V2.0.3 Affinity Publisher still renders text very poorly with More Space enabled in Display and Brightness settings. More Space is a vast improvement for graphical apps for us 11 inch users so going back to default should not be the solution. Please consider a fix.
  3. Hi @Gabe, Sure and done, but please keep in mind that I could not see any of these bugs in the public (2.0.3) version. Kind regards.
  4. In so many words — I have only 40mb of space and no access to erase stuff uploaded on older posts 🤷‍♂️
  5. A preview of B&W strokes and their corresponding CMYK colors: The Halftone Chart uses a traditional CMYK color palette with “absolute“ values (C:100, M:100, Y:100, K:100, everything else set to zero). Replace them with different values in the CMYK panel of each swatch, according to your needs. Set CMY to stronger values and K to lower value to avoid strong black patters. A short video about setting a CMYK document plus the brushes in action: ZIP includes Halftone Brushes, Color Palette, document setup, Color Chart folder with individual PNG pieces on transparent background (import them to document, set them to Multiply over the paper of your choice and save it yourself) You can use and modify all the resources found here for personal and professional work. 6. Another bug, in similar circumstances as above — instead strokes, when drawing, appears the magnifying glass/ color picker
  7. Also instead of changing the width it produces line artefacts random across the document. Happened several times in the Beta version, with multiple documents and different brushes, with finger as well pencil, but never in the Public version; only in Affinity Photo through StudioLink but not in the Affinity Photo app itself. Pro 11 M1 256
  8. It was in V1 (AD) as well but has been fixed years ago. In one month of using V2 I haven’t encountered it. Seems beta-related. (App needs to be rebooted for the layer to go away.) (Appeared in Photo Persona of StudioLink/APub)
  9. It’s the same for the public version (aka, no regression). I can’t find it now but I think it was reported before.
  10. Hi @c_moon, According to this post you need to be "an owner of the paid version for the beta software to work”:
  11. These are impressive updates! There are a few old bugs that Serif is clearly aware of (they’re reported already here in the forums), like Palettes reverting to Recent Colours when using Add Current Fill, or Compact Mode not showing group thumbnails, zoom outside the Artboard is pushing you off so having resources too far outside the artboard is not possible, etc — so I don’t think these bugs deserve new posts — edit, but if I’ll find anything new, I wont hesitate to post back. So far in 2 hours, no new issues. Again — really good improvements, and plenty! (I hope I’m allowed to post here)
  12. Please consider to add rename layer shortcut for iPad users as well (if that’s possible). Respectfully.
  13. You are absolutely right, of course, I completely overlooked this simple fact.
  14. Hi @dagen, If you already have V1 for iPad purchased, you can go to Appstore/Account/Purchased to search and instal Affinity Photo and Designer V1 despite them not being available to buy any longer on the AppStore. Kind regards!
  15. This happened very rarely in V1 (I have hundreds of documents made with both raster and vector elements combined made with V1 and I don’t recall to have this bug, ever). I reinstalled AD1 and there’s no such bug with it. With StudioLink, this bug happens every time, if the pixel layer is nested inside the vector layer, regardless of overlays being applied to it or not. I cannot reproduce this in AD2 — it happened only once, but with a document already tested in APub) Seems to be an APub bug. Will modify the post accordingly. (thanks for the heads up @walt.farrell)
  16. Unless it’s M1 specific, it’s easy to reproduce: make a vector layer, drag a pixel layer inside it and start drawing with raster brushes. Happens with all the documents I have tried this on, in StudioLink.
  17. M1 iPad Pro 11” 256GB iPadOS 16.1.1 Out of curiosity I ran the benchmark for AP1 for iPad as well. The performances are about the same for all entries with the exception of Vector, Multi CPU which’ value is 500 higher in V2’s favour.
  18. As I work with both raster and vector elements, many times I need to export various slices of the same project as I work on. The Slice Export panel is missing from APub so I had to save the document in APub, open AP, import and save the slices there — and then go back to APub (where I have access to more features than I would in AD) and continue working. I hope you agree that this is not ideal. So I respectfully asking Serif if there’s any chance to see more features already available in the individual apps finding their way to StudioLink, like Slice Export, Select Sample Color or Pixel Brush Tool in AD persona. Kind regards!
  19. Hi @fcast & welcome to the forums I add a vote to your feature request as my partner would love such feature in their work. Probably in V3 or later, which is years and years away — but with Serif themselves saying (at some point) that they sold 3x more than their projections and that they have awesome new features prepared throughout V2 — who knows really
  20. It was already reported here I think this is a minor issue if you know/ find the workaround, but for professionals/hobbyists dealing with bitmaps and not aware of these forums — I think this bug is a very big deal.
  21. Happens with all the files I have tested this on. (M1 iPad Pro 256gb, 16.1.1)
  22. Hi @Hopelessly Lost and welcome to the forums According to the in-app help — To merge/separate table cells: With multiple table cells selected, long press and choose Merge Cells or Separate Cells from the pop-up menu. I’ve just tried and it works:
  23. Hi @hinoki and welcome to the forums You may want to read Serif’s managing director addressing the whole situation here Personally I think that 40% off was (and is) a very good offer for both new and old users like myself.
  24. Hi @HarryMcGovern, I have no such issues now, but I had in the past and a force-restart helped. You should probably try to see if it’s document-related, and if nothing helps, to reinstall APub.
  25. For me personally, you’re the most condescending user I had the misfortune to “talk” to here. Again — I never asked for your help, but thank you for telling what a pixel is. I’m sure you’re a great helpful user (and your post history stands proof of that, you have an impressive activity here) , but I will avoid you from now on. It’s not your fault but mine, I simply don’t have the nerves for this. And to conclude my take here — I post a better video which I just recorded, with older files made by myself with the pixel brush tool, showing blurry in Affinity Photo — which, again, regardless of the reasons, makes StudioLink hard to use because AD lacks the pixel brush tool. Which my post was all about. — Edit, Dec 3th — I see that the transform panel in below video showed no value — in my defence I was very tired then as it was almost morning. The recorded file had 1000x1000px, and there were no half pixels, no misalignment etc — but I still could be completely wrong, of course. I didn’t know this topic would blow up like this this. I apologise for it.
