Thank you very much. With the sw-update the issue is closed.

Tom Lachecki got a reaction from Patrick Connor in Affinity photo is not importing the exif-data of the photo
Hi @Brand.
This is working for me in current versions:
I recommend updating the software to the current version (1.10.1). Updates to 1.x are free.

Tom Lachecki got a reaction from Patrick Connor in Unexpected error 0x00000001 while trying register Affinity Photo
There is an issue in 1.10.0 and 1.10.1 that prevent registration on first launch for some macOS users. This has been fixed for the next release; in the meantime, restarting the app (just once!) will solve the problem.

In the Develop Assistant there is a lens correction default drop-down option - set it to none, instead of auto.

Tom Lachecki got a reaction from stokerg in Lens profile for Z Nikkor 14-30 F4
Hi Thomas,
I can't speak to their quality or accuracy, but there are some pending user submissions to LensFun for this lens:
- https://github.com/lensfun/lensfun/issues/1404
I have combined them into a single XML LensFun profile (attached). If you go into Preferences > General, then "Open lens profile folder", put the XML file in there, then restart Photo, that data will become available in the app.
Hope that helps!

Tom Lachecki reacted to walt.farrell in Affinity Photo for Windows - 1.10.1
You seem to have an extension "Automatic HTTPS" active. Do you still have problems if you disable it?

Tom Lachecki got a reaction from Lem3 in Open failure
This is not an ORF file, but a TIFF file. ExifTool ignores that and just reports the TIFF metadata (and uses the file extension for deducing a mime-type, albeit incorrectly).
If you rename the file to .tiff then it will open in Affinity Photo as well.
Just naming a file .orf doesn't make it an ORF file. Affinity cannot produce proprietary RAW formats.

Thanks, Tom.
I presume, then, that if @ms.fuentecilla provided answers to my questions about the file, that her workflow would look like this:
Create a Stack in Affinity Photo. Export as a TIFF. Rename the file to xxx.ORF for some reason. Try to open the incorrectly named file in Affinity photo again. With an explanation of the workflow, and telling us about step 3, the reason for the problem would have been immediately clear.

Tom Lachecki reacted to Dan C in Problems Registering Affinity Photo On A Mac
Thanks for trying that Graham and I'm certainly sorry to hear this!
I can confirm I tested placing this file in the aforementioned location and when opening the My Account dialog, I was prompted to Login or create an account - selecting this option then prompted me to complete the sign up/sign in in my default web browser - which happens to be Safari.
Can you please;
Provide a screenshot of the file you have moved into the aforementioned location? Provide a screen recording or description of how 'far' into the process you can get currently - for example do you see any options load when opening the My Account dialog, or is it only ever the 'We're sorry' screen shown? Many thanks for your patience and understanding here, as this is a relatively new process to us therefore it may take a little longer to determine the exact cause of this on your machine

Hi Dan C
Unfortunately, after placing this file at that location, it doesn't alter the situation and I'm still receiving the "We're Sorry" dialogue box.

Tom Lachecki reacted to Dazmondo77 in Serious copy paste colour shift with 1.9.1 BUG
Yes Sean P - I thought I had an even older 1.1.x - I remember the splash screen with the original logo with the marker and technical pen - but must have replaced when updating from the app store - I get really nostalgic with old splash screen and really wish I'd have made screen grabs from all past versions - just have an old Mavericks bootable backup and found 1.3.2 and was surprised that it works great in Mojave 👍

Tom Lachecki reacted to Chris B in Just bought and downloaded the latest version and it constantly crashes
We have started internal relations with Nvidia recently and I did hear word that they had included a fix but I was not told which version it would be available for. So it sounds like either the 471.11 driver or the one at the start of this month (maybe around the 5th) included the fix - that's good to know. Thanks for letting us know @Ron Lukawitski

Hello Tom - what a basic failure of mine. I reset my screen resolution and indeed see it is a J and not a 3. This will surely be the fix ! Have to by a new PC-display instead of my old Samsung.... Thank you all for your kind efforts for the old man. JB

Whoops! Sorry about that @Lars67. Creating a LUT preset category from German will work in 1.9.4. 🙃

Tom Lachecki reacted to walt.farrell in (Re)Testing Download Content In My Account
I have no problems downloading manually, but it's easier to let it happen automatically if I can afford the space and performance effects. It's also easier to keep 3 applications synchronized across multiple computers using the new function. 6 applications, really, counting the betas.

I see it mostly as a quicker & simpler way to add my purchased content to the apps, but also as a quick way to see what is & is not installed.
