  1. Thanks

The left panel controls the layer that you have selected, the left point of the graph controls dark tones, pulling it down removes or fades them, the right point of the graph controls light tones. The Panel on the right controls tones of the underlying layer. I use this when I have added an adjustment layer and want to control the tones it is applied to.

Thanks! Blend ranges work, even I don't know what I'm really doing 🙂

I would like to suggest a feature to show the cursor coordinates in Designer.
This can be pixel or any unit of length. I find it very useful for quickly rescaling parts of graphics or whole graphics to have the coordinates of certain points with a quick look. Rulers at the top and left of the picture are not sufficient as they are not precise enough, however they imply that this information is available already.
There is something like this in Photo I think.
Farer a tool to measure distances would be the next step then ;).

robert_muench reacted to MEB in Import SVG / How to handle "Embedded Document" ?
    Hi robert_muench,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Embedded documents are just that - a layer that contains a full document enclosed inside - but that act like a single object to which you can apply adjustments, layer effects etc. To edit it double-click the embedded document on canvas (this will open it in a new document tab) make your changes and close the embedded document tab. The embedded document in your original source document will be updated accordingly to reflect the changes you have made. Currently there's no way to convert an embedded document into objects. You have to either open the SVG using the  File ▸ Open... command and copy the contents (layers/objects) of the file to the document you want, or double click the embedded document on canvas to open it in a new document tab, copy its contents (layer/objects) to the clipboard and then paste them in the original document deleting the embedded doc afterwards.

Especially things like "pointer-events" when working with groups would make sense. Or CSS classes, so that one can reference and specify behaviour via CSS stylesheets.

    +1 for mouse coordinates.

And please show the four corner coordinates for a selected object. Makes positioning, resizing etc. much simpler than having to calc these always on the fly myself.
