  1. Thanks, that's very useful. (We should probably be on the Quark forum with this!)
  2. Thanks Mike, I have explored the 'convert' option and it is certainly useful, but it doesn't keep paragraph structure; pdfs have a paragraph break at the end of each line whether you put it there or not! I notice in AD's pdf export settings there is an embed fonts setting, so it must be possible to export live text, though.
  3. There's no problem placing eps or pdf into Quark. It supports those but I want a workflow where I can easily edit placed files. For example, if I place an Illustrator file into Quark I can open it from within Quark, edit and save. I made an eps file from Affinity, thinking I could do the same, and can open it for editing in quark, but the text is not editable because it gets outlined.
  4. Thanks but that leaves me in the same situation - I can't edit the placed pdf. If I open it with Affinity, text is outlined. I would have to go back to the Affinity file.
  5. What is the best way to create/save Affinity Designer files to place in Quark Express documents so that they are editable? Unsurprisingly, Quark won't import Affinity files. If I export eps the text gets outlined so I can't then edit the file without going back to the original Affinity file and re-exporting. That's do-able, of course, but slow going. (That's how I was doing it 20 years ago!) Can I export eps with live text? Any other suggestions? Thanks
