In previous versions, I could import a mixture of curves and images while maintaining a very precise layer structure from the exporting program. In the 1.9.0 it seems to import as a an in-dividable image, which is a disaster for me. I typically use Designer to verify my exported CAD data from Vectorworks. It's an absolute must to maintain this precise layer structure, as it's the very foundation of the work flow. Am I missing something here ? Is it some new step that I'm missing.

Yes, how do you get rid of this those lines ? There on the screen and there when exporting. Drives me crazy. -
DXF Export for Laser Cutters

Same here. I use DXF for both cutting and print/cut jobs. Support for older EPS would also be good as some machines prefer that. Illustrator, CorelDraw and Freehand (if anyone remember it) all supported it.
